Be Warned PDI is not for the young

So I realise I’m putting myself up for a load of abuse here but we cancelled our trip to Lanzarote to come to PDI (playa del ingles gran canaria) because of the large amount of chat that this place has, it sounded like load of action going on, swingers club, sex on the beaches, nude hotels, that’s sounds like my type of place!
The only thing is that I’m 49 and my partner 34 and we are the youngest couple here, nearly everyone is much older than us, it very rare to see any young people, in fact they stand out from the crowd.
Also 90% of the people here are German.
Clubs don’t get going until 11-12pm if your lucky, We went on Saturday to Secrets and it was busy not full but ok, had a stripper that took everyone off the dance floor while they were having a good time and we were the youngest there.
Went back to Secrets on Sunday only 15 people, Germans and Spanish, only played Spanish ballroom music at an uncomfortable low level, so you couldn’t get the party going even if you wanted to.
We are a couple that are not shy, we don’t stand in the corner, we get the party started but even for us, this was a party going no where.
Come to PDI if your old but not young and want to have a fucking good time.
by the way, yes we respect that you can still have a fucking good time as an older person, I’m just pointing out to those who are thinking of coming here, what to expect.

To be fair, your there wrong time of the year.
For some reason, it’s busier sept/Oct/nov , we usually go October and there’s a great mix of age groups.
We went in June a few years ago and it was quieter. |

We went in March last year and were definitely one of the youngest couples out there, but there was some in their 20s and 30s. Oct and Nov are a different story, you get a much better mix.
I think the crowd in PDI is generally older than you would find in clubs in the UK but age is just a number, and sexiness doesn't have a number  |

For a start having so many Germans there is a bonus. When they go to clubs they go to play.
Secondly, your partner doesn't seem to have a problem playing with an older guy so maybe your upset people were round about your own age! |

Of course time of year makes a very big difference.
I remember when I (Mr) used to go to GC a lot in the 90's. Vanilla holidays in those days.
When I went in May I could book flight and apartment very easily. The bars around the Irish quarter were bustling and the age group was good (I was mid/late 30's then)
In December/January It was sometimes a struggle to get the apartment I wanted and the flights were more expensive as well. In the daytime it was busy and so were the restaurants in the early evening, but the bars were dead. Nearly all were much older and tucked up in bed by 10 o'clock.
At this time of year the younger age group are generally not taking holidays. It is the older ones with little or no work commitments who can. |

Age is just a number my lovelies but 49? That's the average age we find when we are there along with a lot of single guys in their 30s who enjoy the older lady.
Just go and find out for yourselves everyone, like all clubs in the UK, hit or miss!

We started going to PDI around 10 years ago when in our mid thirties. It was rare to see couples younger than us then.
We have noticed that there seem to be a few more couples in their thirties than there were 10 years ago. Like everything in life, it’s all about timing.
We’d agree that regardless of time though the PDI age demographic is predominantly is a bit older than the UK.
Of course there is a very big difference between a couple in their fifties that look after themselves than some that seem not to care. |

Hi it can be frustrating. Just arrived. Am 55 but fit and healthy. Fab buddy 35. Staying at Venus star. We will be out partying in cita center. Being here a few times and can be hit and miss. Only need to meet a few fun people to have a blast. |

The clubs and bars are empty, we have NEVER seen so few people in playa del ingles and we started coming here 30 years ago.
Moonlight dreams in November last the average age would have been mid 30s and secrets at the weekend we saw couples from 20s to 80s

We’re going in June, we’ll enjoy each other for the two weeks, anything else will be a bonus. We will be going into every bar and club, but which ones are the best,please let us no, it may save us a lot of leg work. |

We were there in November last year and met some great people - from 20s upwards!. We had a fabulous time
We really don’t think of ourselves as in the older age category. Fun outlook in life, take care of ourselves, interested in other people and attracted to all ages if we have something in common.
We are back on 25th April so hope to meet more new sexy friends then

Not everyone goes to play
Lots just go to socialise so what does it matter what age they are
Thesedays we just go to have fun in the sun with each other but anyone is welcome to join us

Spot on, we went in April and december Christmas last year and always found lovely couples of all ages to socialise and have fun with, it's all about enjoying yourselves and having fun lifes too short, booked for April this year too can't wait, have fun fabbers xxx |

PDI: 2 swinger hotels, a small part of a public beach for naturism, 2 meet up bars and a few clubs in shopping centres all spaced out (need a taxi for everything) in a very vanilla resort! Busy October and some of September for swing, much quite the rest of the time.*
Cap D'Agde: A couple dozen play clubs, bars, saunas, hotels etc. (and another half dozen within an hours drive) massive camp site, hundreds of apartments to rent, 2-3km of naturist beach, sparkling and exciting night life plus more and all within 5 mins walking distance of the centre. May/Oct very quiet and older couples, June/September getting busier and a bit younger, early July busy and around your age group, late July and August extremely busy and expensive and your age group and younger.*

Its all about timing, sometimes you meet young sometimes older , same as when you go to clubs in uk,tbf though if your looking for loads of 20 year olds then GC is not for you,and most clubs in uk would be the same , average age we have found in GC is 40ish, which suits most people |

We are a similar age to the OP m = 46, f = 35, we have been Feb, may, June, and Oct and always managed to find people out ages, the club's will start to quieten down now and pick up again in sept. Oct we found has the youngest crowd if it really bothers you that much, but even that can't be guaranteed, at the end of the day, age is just a number, we have seen some "older" people with absolutely amazing bodies. |

If you wanted young people you should of tried pasha at the kasbar , I have been to playa every month of the year , and never found it full of old people , a holiday is what YOU make it not the age of others , who hopefully were having a brilliant time , roll on June , love Gran Canaria to bits |

Desire is a true swingers resort .. where Temptations has a lot of swayers and single guys looking for a cheap thrill |
