We have to get rid of a RUMOUR , we DON'T CHARGE couples to get in our bar, we NEVER did and NEVER will do that, the door is there for your safety and ours so we can all relax and have a fab time

Yepz back again last night no entry fee, very reasonable priced drinks and very nice owners who always have time to talk
Also a very nice and surprisingly large playroom which we tested out (purely for science you know) but nobody else came in.
I can't really understand why people go to imagine for a drink then go somewhere else to play as they have it all. Maybe we were just unfortunate nobody was horny lol |

it's 10 euro for single men and 1 drink for free, up till 10 euro's.
there is no other place with a playroom that doesn't charge single men, even places without a playroom have a minimum spend of 10 euros for everyone.

10 euro and a free drink sounds like a good deal, but most club's charge silly money to let in single guys. They say it's to control numbers but they still let loads in, so they just use them as a cash cow. But what's a single guy to do?

Most clubs there charge single guys an entry fee of 50 Euros ( without drinks) . I was surprised to see someone complaining about a charge of 10 Euros. The majority of single guys accept that they will pay more than a couple to enter a club. Would they prefer free entry and a club packed full of blokes. ?
It seems that some people fail to appreciate the time and effort involved in running events or organising things. I organise soiree evenings in my apartment which are free events. Some single men seen to think that they should get an invite regardless of the ratio attending but will not pay out the entry fee to go to the Sauna .

I fail to understand how individuals who haven't been to Gran Canaria for the last 2/3 years and when they did did not frequent Imagine Bar can make a comment on their pricing policy.
The very same individuals who would only ever frequent one club which surprisingly had a policy of allowing couples in for free, but shock horror charged single males.
Furthermore....if the said single males were Spanish locals, they got in cheaper than tourists!

No one, so far as I can recall, has suggested any other way to control the number of single guys? Limit nunbers/quality control....but how? EVERY single guy is the exception, respectful, well groomed....or so they say and whereas one single guy might be welcome by some couples, he could upset the vibe for others. So what's the answer??  |

It seems that Imagine bar is being singled out here as the thread is going off topic with charges of 40/50 euros.
They have said it's 10 euro for single men and 1 drink for free. That is actually as cheap or cheaper than it is for a couple. Couple gets in free but the first drinks will be over 10 euros ?
The benefit of charging single guy the 10 euro entry surely cuts down the ones that would just come in for a quick perv

Cant believe all these comments, its there bar they can do what they want, if you dont like it dont go and dont comment on something you personally dont like, loads of places single guys can go im sure, we have been going in there bar since they first opened, and are very happy with the way they have always ran it. Single guys, you go in there because you just want to get your end away, nothing else, so do cpls, we wont go in places where they let in loads of single guys, never have and never will, there just cattle markets, lets face it. I think most are confusing the concept that Imagine Bar was always just that, a Bar, albeit a Bar where Swingers met up before moving on to the Clubs.
People could pop in for a drink at normal bar prices like Comeback Bar.
Imagine Bar decided to install a playroom and call themselves a Club.
I messaged them in December to say that I had arranged to meet a couple there and would it be ok if I came along that night.
They replied that that would be fine but when I got there they said, couples only tonight!!
I explained that I had contacted them and they reluctantly let me in to see my friends.
There was only one other couple in the Bar and they charged me €10 for one drink.
Câsars also have a play room and adopt a policy of a minimum spend of €10 but at their normal bar prices this can be 2,3 or maybe 4 drinks.
It's nice to leave your hotel to go somewhere where you know you'll get in rather than not knowing if they'll allow you access after travelling there.
I wouldn't and couldnt plan that with Imagine Bar/Club so I'll go elsewhere.

First off all
This topic was about the rumours there where out that we charged couples,
now we are talking abouth the €10 we charged single men at the door ..
We have to justify everything we do to a number of singles here who are constantly telling lies
We do not see ourselves as a club but still as a bar but with a some extras, where couples have a lot of fun with or without a single man.
Yes we ask for an entrance fee of € 10.00, you can take any drink you want,up to €10,-, your 2nd or 3rd drink is normal price and yes we are a lot cheaper than a club and even cheaper than many other swingers bars
If you as a single man want to come to us for the first time, just send a message on fab, we always answer it ourselves and so you know exactly where you stand, we will always be honest with you.
And yes sometimes we have to say no to single men if there are enough inside, we also want to keep the balance between couples and single men, and yes we adhere to these rules because we run our bar with love and not just for the money like other places.

Last time I was in GC Secrets charged me €50 entry . This was after they enlarged the couples area and reduced the other areas I wouldn't go back in now. I have never been been charged or refused entry to Imagine bar and they are a lovely couple who run it, but after reading this I don't think I would try it's not the €10 it's the embarrassment of refusal. The club scene is bad enough without paying for and being treated as a social leper or desperado. If I am back there I will stick to Comeback bar or Kiosk 4 sorry 6 haha and some of the other clubs on the odd night |

Sounds like the Imagine Bar has lost its identity. It’s a meeting bar trying to be a club.
Read the posts on here and it sounds cliquey and when you attend you will see it is even more cliquey.
Comeback bar is much better, especially for a single guy. Then if you want a club, then go to a club, not a meeting bar trying to be a club.
I now await the backlash from the Imagine Bar supporters club

Your right never had a problem going to comeback bar for many year, when the new owners took it over I was like brilliant they guys have fun4all CLUB and never had a bad night in there.

I am surprised that anyone should complain about paying 10 Euros to enter a bar. It is generally accepted that single men will pay more to enter a club or bar. If this were not the case, the bar/ club would be be flooded with single men ( who would probably be the first to complain about the ratios being unfair ) .
Clubs and bars cost a lot of money to run and the overheads have to be recovered .
From my experience of organising parties ( for which there is no charge ) There will always be people who want something for nothing. Quite often single men who want to attend my soiree evenings simply want something for nothing. They complain about charges for clubs and while I do not charge, if they want to be considered for a place on the guest list the least they could do would be to offer to the bring some food or prepare a buffet.
No one has any entitlement to enter a bar or attend a party . This will always be on the organisers/ owners terms and conditions .
A lot of single men would prefer to be discriminated against if it means keeping to ratios of those attending balanced . They also appreciate the costs involved in running bars and social evenings.
I would prefer not to be a fully paid up member of the something for nothing brigade .

The swinging scene isn't the best place for single guys looking for new experiences or something different, Clubs and some couples have a nothing but contempt for single guys and treat them accordingly , best thing to do is to return the favour avoid them. And on that basis I will stay away from Imagine and Secrets that keeps everyone happy I wish other guys would do the same |

I organise some socials in brum (I have a couples profile as well)
Next one has 150 on the guest list.
Almost with out exception the guys that turn up have no sense of entitlement, want something for nothing etc and are polite and sociable. (Its free) And when they are told the guest list is closed to guys they are gracious and polite.
Inevitably on fab there will be more mad/rude/ socially compromised guys, simply because there are so many guys.
As a polite person who I would hope is reasonably charming and indeed love chatting and flirting with ladies in the vanilla world. Its rare but I have certainly experienced unprovoked rudeness from the odd couple or bar/club owner etc. Which is particularly galling when you have been charged a lot to get in, and the rude couple where free.
Politeness and charm are what motivated me to organize the socials...and I wish there was more of it. We all seem to have become very intolerant.
My experience of just over a year on fab is that as a percentage, and ignoring the keyboard nutters , in terms of the people you actually meet, the single guys are the most polite and sociable.
They have to be ..they need to work at it...couples or single ladies will rarely make the effort to engage with them...

I have seen unkempt d*unk guys in bars and clubs and some couples use them as a example when they talk about single guys But they are a minority it's the same couples who seem to take great offence to single guys out seeking new experiences which,is as far as they are concerned set aside for them and single fems . We like imagine, Gatsby, secret, fun4all and Patricias pretty much equally, we've neve been to comeback as it looks just like an ordinary bar but we have nothing against it or it's patrons. We don't particularly like 2x2 but that's just a personal thing and our experience wasn't good there but we also know that some people go nowhere else

Every club we know makes a charge. Your charge covers a drink so it is not exactly a big charge. Lets not forget that when a couple go in and get a drink, they have also paid. Only difference is that a guy is charged before his drink |

Sorry but this is all b-----ks, Saskia and Tony own this bar, they have made it their own, made it bigger and better each year, and work hard providing US all a great sevice and a great bar and atmosphere that we love,€10 and a drink for a single guy is'nt bad but if they dont wont to pay there are plenty of other bars, its their choice, if for any reason u dont like imagine bar dont go, im sure Saskia and Tony wont lose any sleep over it, have fun. |

Different strokes for different folks.
We almost exclusively only play with single guys but in terms of meet up bars we very much prefer the vibe of Imagine over the open plan comeback bar. We play in the clubs regardless of who we meet in the bars.
It’s clear that Imagine want to keep this place predominantly for couples with a few single guys, that is their prerogative. |
