We really like moonlight. Only real problem was it was full of Germans. We don’t talk any German at all, so we could not chat away with them. We loved the rooms, they were all beach huts

Very clean, very friendly and very reasonable prices

Unfortunately we arrived a bit late the evening we went and didn't get a chance to go back

They have a website

They have a website with some pictures of the sheds

There's also eternity next door but we didn't get a chance to try it yet.

€4 for a taxi from Cita to nilo

Just be aware there is no taxi rank at the Nilo so if you go to moonlight, get the staff to call you a taxi when leaving.

Any time we have been, it is mainly couples.

Eternity next door tends to not get going until after midnight at weekends and is mainly locals but they certainly like to play

We absolutely love moonlight. It's our go to place most of our holidays. Clean, great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Love the themes nights and it's good to meet people in.

Land tomorrow so can't wait to go... L x

We heard it can get quiet but think with all the bad press about the Cita clubs we will have to give it a go along with Gatsby which opens on 18th. Maybe we can check them out together xxx

Moonlight Dreams is a bit odd. It’s set up as though you’re walking us through a kind of a cross between a red light district and a German village. The staff were friendly enough even though the club wasn’t terribly busy. To be honest we would much rather go to Eternity next door. Although it doesn’t really get going until after midnight when it gets going it gets going!

Sorry to be a grump but several people have told me that at the end of the evening their drinks bills were inaccurate - with extra drinks added.

It's a dark and busy bar and it is easy to miss. It happened to us over New Year...so keep your wits about you.

As has been said, language was a problem for us as everyone was German when we were there. Just not our strongest language so difficult to for us to mix. It was also very smoky in the bar area which was unpleasant for us as non-smokers. The club itself however is nice and the play area good.

I think you're talking about a different bar.

It's not dark and wouldn't appear to be particularly busy

No mistake - I am referring to the Moonlight Dream club in the Nilo centre. The bar area is dimly lit and on Thursday evening, when they have the live show , the club is generally very busy. That is when we visited and had the unfortunate episode described above.

Hope that makes it clearer.

When you say "dark" are you referring to the play area or the bar area?

If bar area then you must have still had sunglasses on. We have been on a number of nights and never found it to be dark.

Might add that we have never been over charged either.

Guess we must just be lucky

It’s been open since early 2017. They advertise quite a bit and you’ll see information at Venus and some ad boards by cita.

Our two experiences of moonlight on two separate holidays is very similar to what many have said.

We have only went on Sundays, which was couples only. The first time there were around 6 German couples, which we had a laugh and banter with. The second time was 50% quieter.

Darkly lit but a quirky play area with the summer houses.

Staff are friendly, we also met the lad at a Venus BBQ. We’ve never been overcharged, though it would have been difficult with the small numbers they had to manage.

It’s clean, but doesn’t set the world on fire for us personally. We far prefer to join Jose at Eternity next door.

Good advice about the cabs. If you forget to book, you are likely to be waiting a long time for a taxi, unless you get lucky.

If you forget, you might find it makes more sense to walk over the flyover, in between a few restaurants and then on to the road. If you go left, it’ll take you toward Green Park and the Irish Quarter. Straight ahead is the direction to get towards the centre of pdi. Not a long walk, but looking towards the left, you’ll most likely see some green taxi lights and can easily flag one down. They’ve got eyes like hawks! From here, €3 and 3 minutes and you’re back at the Yumbo.

we were told that the bridge is closed on the restaurant side sometime late evening, we did see a gate but never tried to see if its locked later. Probably not somewhere Id like to be at 2am personally anyway.

We were always told that it's not a great place to be walking around at night and Jose will not let you leave Eternity, without first ordering a taxi. The one night a taxi was slow arriving, a security guard stood close by, until it did arrive. Think that should tell you how safe it might be, to walk around.

Roxychic and I visited Moonlight then Eternity the other night and rated both clubs very highly indeed. We'd certainly go again!

Jose is brilliant, he wouldnt let us go one night till taxi turned up, he love uk swingers, and its one area no one or a couple should be alone so take when over that side,

Very interesting to hear. We’ve known Jose for years, he even brought me wine and birthday cake, but he’s never asked if we’ve needed a taxi and we’ve never been advised not to walk over the bridge. That said, he knows we’re regulars and maybe assumes we have everything in place.

I can understand the perception that it feels a bit eerie around the Nilo compared to other commercial centers, but the many occasions we’ve crossed the bridge, we’ve had no issues whatsoever. We’ve even seen local females cross and young locals crossing on their commute.

I’ve been in some areas around the world late at night, which I’m aware they’ve been not the most prestigious of locations and have made the hairs on my back stand on end. PDI is certainly a million miles away from these places. That’s not to say you shouldn’t switch off in any location and always have your wits about you.

I appreciate that not everybody is as streetwise and can look after themselves physically, and I’m a strong believer that you should air on the side of caution.

With that in mind, I retract my information about crossing the bridge and concur that you request to have a taxi booked for you on leaving the club, regardless to which club you visit.
