"We didn’t really connect this time, third time we’ve been this year. Still enjoyed a bit of Jimi on the way back from the beach and got out and about more. Las Palmas is worth a visit if you’ve never been but didn’t feel it in the clubs, though that really does depend who is around. Yumbo nights were good and the weather was fantastic "Yes, we spent a lot more time at the Yumbo than previous visits and had such a laugh in Sparkles....weather was fab! Wonder if perhaps there were just too many people there? Mrs H | |||

We only go for the swinging scene and the weather, not overly keen on PDI as a normal holiday resort, however have met some lovely locals. May look at another island for our winter holidays "There are other more beautiful places on the island,it really is a stunning place,but being male,and I must admit,nosey,if we were to stay elsewhere I'd always be wondering what's happening in the clubs and itching to get there n see for ourselves. For that reason we will be heading elsewhere for our winter break in the near future. | |||

For that reason we will be heading elsewhere for our winter break in the near future."PDI in October without our Besties, can't imagine that  but I think you won't be the only faces missing. We will make a decision after our visit to La Mirage in April. We love the lifestyle and the freedom to be open about your choice and talk with like minded people, whilst in PDI but the massive list for October, didn't deliver for us, apart from the few we met and had a ball with.

"Very disappointed to hear all this negativity. PDI and Cap are the only places you can swing in Europe. ( and of course Cap only has a 13 week season whereas GC is potentially 52 weeks of the year ). No one should feel ripped off, but frankly E20 / 30 for entrance to a club with one /two drinks is very reasonable. ( no chance of getting that value in the UK !) The behaviour of some Brits as described is totally unacceptable, but newbies should not be put off from experiencing this virtually unique place !!!" We have no quibble about paying admission(eg Eternity) but we were at Secrets on the Thursday night, I think it was, as normal, no admission(refused a locker and told play area closed, at 4am), then on the Friday, suddenly €20/€30 before entering, chaos over what drinks and queries galore over bills..to the extent that some were saying they were charged €10 for a locker? No signage, warning of introduction of charges, we just viewed it as "PDI's heaving, we can make a killing". We did give it another go, but as it was late, asked if there were many in. A heated conversation between the 2 on the door in Spanish and told yes...paid our €20 and only 4 couples and 1 guy in the place

But we will just have to make do "Glad you enjoyed your first PDI adventure, as we said, "We had a brilliant holiday" and we are booked again, for April. Hard for us to comment on the single guy/sometime couple, that is commenting, as his profile is hidden but everyone is getting older and we partied 14 nights, so we were out, experiencing the current vibe. Have no idea when he/they were last out there. We acknowledge everyone's tastes but relay factual accounts, of our experiences both in the Clubs and the area in general. One trait, among many of our friends, this trip, was the uneasiness around Cita at night...we were approached by a particularly obnoxious beggar, on more than one occasion and know of others, who experienced similar. Anyone who feels the need to comment "I'd have knocked him out" if you get the chance, feel free...I have a feeling the Policia Local/Nationsl might not be as supportive as you may think. Anyhow, we warned all our friends, that were out at the time and they were appreciative for it | |||

Although I cannot comment on the increase in beggars, amourorus taxi drivers etc. However, having been there as a couple and a single I think the clubs are much better than the UK, with a mix predominantly European. With this in mind why shouldn’t they charge couples to enter, the UK ones do and they are running a business. If it’s a good club then people should not mind being charged a nominal entry fee. I think the few on here posting negative reviews are in a minority. Maybe the demographic has changed or maybe you are just getting older and the scene is staying the same. Reading the posts on this forum it would seem that a lot of the regular posters like the British pub scene, maybe a bit cliquey like what Imagine offers for example. The male part of the couple likes nothing more to sit down with a pint and fantasise, often not being able to perform...sorry but it’s the way it looks. I am an easy going fun guy, I chat to lots of people despite sometimes a language barrier and have a great time every time I go, making new friends and having a lot of fun, but it is mainly with Europeans and not the older cliquey Brits. Anyone reading these forums will see for themselves once they are in the PDI clubs, the British are a minority despite all the lists etc that appear on here....and in reality the clubs are full of fun, often younger European couples who are just looking for a good time. One of our female friends was approached twice by guys in cars, offering her money for Sex and had to run the last bit of the way to her hotel. I say again, "We had a brilliant holiday" just be aware, the fact that it hasn't happened in the past, doesn't mean that it couldn't happen | |||

Weather is amazing!
Everyone saying it was mad the last couple of weeks but we think it is better than ever.
The new room at Imagine, brand new comeback bar, improvements at fun4all and secrets makeover is fantastic! €20 with 2 drinks to get into secrets was only €2.50 more than the same 2 drinks in fun4all. Haven’t seen any beggars or anything else untoward so far....
October 19th full sun and 25 degrees staying at Venus star and it’s full of sexy fun people. BBQ today happy days | |||

"I agree age is just a number....my comment regarding age was directed to the negative PDI posters, and my point was maybe they are growing out of the PDI scene as it is younger than the UK scene. Everyone must retire at some point. Since my post there have been more positive PDI posts, which indicate that just a minority feel negative and they try to pass it onto others. Those who have said they won’t return may be a good thing as they will hopefully take their negativity with them. #just saying | |||
