I don’t get the adulation for Gold, it was good but,
Double bed is a king size proper bed, not 2 singles pushed together and it was all very clean and well maintained, we had a top floor room with a view to the sea and overlooking Sardinia.
But don’t get the sink area open to the room and the tiny toilet space you have to squeeze past to get to the large shower.
The lack of storage, draws or wardrobe doors.
The pool is nice but the very comfortable beds are mostly fixed on concrete terracing and the umbrellas are fixed.
The upper sun terrace is nice and you can move the beds around, lovely hot tub and sauna.
Noisy extraction fan from kitchen in the middle.
So a mixed review, would definitely stay there again if the price was right but wouldn’t pay a premium.

We have stayed in Catarina twice, second time had a room a door down from entrance to nudey sun terrace.
Has great space, especially the old tennis court converted to pool and sunbathing, the nudey on the roof has great views.
Food is mostly good in the cafeteria, no restaurant option.
You can’t bring anyone back, security on the door and we actually eat out most nights, food was fine but we like a change.
Again would stay again but fancy a self catering Airbnb with some freedom for our trip later in the year. |

Gold is a lot cheaper if booked through Tui.
We looked one year and accommodation at Gold, direct on their website, was around £1,200 for the room, for a week.
With Tui we got flights, transfers, room and breakfast for approx £900 for the same dates. There's always £100 off vouchers for Tui floating around the net too. |

First time in Gold, also first time in PDI. Booked it from trip advisor reviews so fingers if not legs crossed.  "
You’ll be fine, absolutely nothing wrong with it overall and good location especially for 2x2.

Been Gold 5 times now , like the location between Cita and Yumbo . Get on well with the staff breakfast until late . Not too many people nice chilled atmostphere. Not saying it’s better than anywhere else, just suits us. Usually pay about £1100 for a week in October with Tui. |
