We have been to the “old” Venus near to Holiday World but have just booked for a couple of weeks next May and wondering if anybody has been and can give us a thumbnail overview of what’s different, please? |

Very much agree with the above.Stayed in feb great rooms and pool area fab sunbeds. But no atmosphere and lacking an outside bar area for socialising etc.No bars or restaurants within an easy walk. Back to good old mirage for us.

Pool bar may be open soon, (so we heard)
Can always get a drink from restaurant area ? We did in April.
A few restaurants between 5 and 10 mins away but uphill Easy walking back after a drink though.
As said previously, much bigger than old venus and lovely rooms. We were there in April and booked for 2 weeks in October. We loved it. Didn't mind it being quiet at night as we always went into the centres anyway |

Not long back from spending a week there. Rooms are lovely but cleaning could be better. Found dust (thick) under the couch and bed. Random sock under the tv unit. Beware of the showers lol. Water comes from every angle but been told their in the process of changing them. It was mostly overcast and very windy . Taxi ride to get anywhere. We weren’t impressed and won’t return. We also found the pool area had no atmosphere whatsoever. The bungalows are uphill and we where at the top ,typical |

Been twice and agree with some of the above. Positive points are the sun beds which are very comfortable. The pool bar was open when we were there second visit and people can meet and speak there. 2 minutes down the hill and taxis are passing in both directions regularly.
It doesn’t have the same vibe that’s true and an entertainer or a disco/entertainment would improve things. A happy hour dress up theme might attract couples. Didn’t see anyone use the playroom when we were there. The rooms are pretty good but the shower is a bit tricky until you get used to it. Staff in reception bar and restaurant are very attentive. Night menu in restaurant wasn’t to our taste but there is a decent pizza place 2 mins away and a decent steak house up the hill on the right.
It’s what you make of it and who you meet that can make or break your stay, we liked it but think it’s over priced for what you get. Hope that helps but it’s only our opinion xx |

We've stayed before and just booked again.
Our room was great, but needed to get cabs to most places.
Although it doesn't have the feel of the old Venus, we made lots of friends and had fun most days in the jacuzzi.(the music needs sorting)
We have met some great friends at Venus and had some great playtime around the pool.
Can't wait for our next visit. |
