la marina nudist beach is great , we have visited it quite a few times . We're back over on the 28th July and hoping to sneak off to the beach

As said, La Marina (Playa Tusalles) is good, some action in middle part, quite a lot of voyeurs, who patrol the dunes behind. For just the nude option, its a bit of a drive from you (about 45mins), but near La Manga Resort try Playa Calbranque, the nudist part is Playa Negrete, bit of a trek off the main road but you can drive it. The beaches there are like nothing else on the Costa Blanca South. |

Yes, Calblanque is an awesome spot, very beautiful. But during the summer you have to park on the edge and use the minibus service to get to the beach. It's a protection measure to preserve the area. There is also Cala Mosca near Playa Flamenca which is nowhere near as attractive but probably a lot closer |

They're in San Luis, so La Marina is their best option, my opinion avoid Playa Flamencas nudist beach, it's grim, too small and no vibe. |

I think "grim" is being a bit hard on it. Yes it's small and no dunes behind for a play (then again no Meercats either) The amount of sand can be variable but it's usually fine in the summer months.
We've been going to that beach for around 15 years and on many occasions the small beach "vibe" has been much better there than the large, more spread out, La Marina/Guardamar. |

If we are going to the beach around there, we'd rather give a nudist beach a miss if the only choice was Playa Flamenca, vibe isnt meant to be a nudist thing, its the beach itself,andwe find PF has none. We'd much prefer to go around to Cala Capitan in that part of the world, keep our clothes on and save the the Playa Nudistas for another day. Each to their own. |

This is a totally unfair assessment of Cala Mosca - it is small intimate and above all it is safe to leave your belongings unattended and to swim together, something it is not wise to do on larger beaches |

AS someone has said, La Marina/Guardamar is best bet. Fun to be had in the middle bit, sit up the back near the dunes and the voyeurs will sit near by, generally one at a time, you can then choose to ignore or encourage. We've played there a couple of times, with Spanish guys. Spanish name for the beac is Playa Tussales. |

The last couple of days have been terrible.
Thursday afternoon through to Friday morning was rain of truly biblical proportions.
There is some damage on the coast, most notably the road behind Campoamor beach has been washed away, but compared to inland it's mostly light.
Still a bit of cloud around this morning but it's a lot brighter.
On a lighter note. We were in Besos on Thursday afternoon/evening and had to drive home through the worst of it. As we approached one of the roundabouts at La Mata and just as I was thinking "Biblical" I noticed a sign on a building. "Edificio Noah" Enough said.

There is still disruption (12 noon today) between Guardamar and La Marina. The road from Nancy roundabout to San Fulgencio is closed (flooded) and the go cart track, including a couple of parked cars, is well under water. The road into the commercial area is also flooded and closed.
There is still some water on the N332 itself and there are quite long tailbacks, especially southbound. |

If you mean the Mercadona at the "Merca China" roundabout then that was the road that was still closed yesterday. All the surrounding fields were well underwater and I've never seen the Segura flowing like that in all the years.
I've seen conflicting stories about the Murcia dam, one said it had burst and another that they had to release water. Whichever is true it has had a devastating effect on Almoradi. Pretty much the whole town was still under water as of yesterday.

As of yesterday the CV859 from the Nancy roundabout was blocked but the water is draining so it would depend on when you are thinking of going.
Haven't seen the road in from the other side but it runs through one of the areas that took a bad hit.
