Planning on taking my wife to Venus star resort 10th to 17th March. Any one stayed there.? It’s a new resort . Any feedback for virgin couple who enjoy the voyeurism side of swinging at the moment and just waiting to dip our toes into the full swinging scene when the right opportunity arises.!!!! |

It’s very nice we were there at New Year when it was full. A bit more expensive at 139 euros a night for a standard room but the bed is great and the loungers around the pool are very luxurious.
It’s pretty dead at nights with nothing laid on to keep you on site but most go into bars and clubs in PDI. We’ll be going back this year again. Barbecue and foam parties are fun during the day x |

First week march Venus star (construction)resort:
They are still busy to build the resort , electriciens carpenters on the pool island painters in the playroom and constructors making a concreet floor at the entrance.
Lots of noise and no ambiance.
At night it is a dead place ..... only for €139 a night.

Are always there two or three times a week, yesterday it was nearly full in combination with hotel- and day guests, so about 50 couples.
Playroom is complete ready now and in and outside everywhere was more action than you can handle... |

Does anyone know what facilities are available for the resort residents if they have not paid to attend the bbq parties. Are the the pool, loungers, jacuzzi and restaurant still accessible to use? |

We are here now and it is very pleasant. A significant step up from La Mirage. Other observations which are purely subjective...
BBQ’s are busy - but the school dinners layout of the tables may not be for everyone. We missed the foam party but we were told not to compare it even remotely to the La Glamour foam party in Cap.
Bar / Restaurant may be a bit OTT for some tastes but maybe they take the view that people want/will pay the premium. I would have thought some less formal events at night may keep people on the resort. It is dead at night.
It is the nearest thing to Babylones/Eden outside of Cap d’Agde but it does not attract the same young and energetic “Libertine” type crowd that you get in Cap. The age group is by and large (but not wholly) older than in Cap. There are young people here and there are young at heart people here too, but by the same token there is a considerably more mature contingent. This may change according to the time of year but this is how it is this week.
The rooms are lovely and kept very clean.
Considering La Mirage’s 10 month booking policy I think that Venus Star will now be our go to resort. |

We are in the old Venus this week and it's lovely here with fab staff, we are moving to Venus Star on Monday for our second week so hoping all the construction is finished. We stayed in La Mirage in december and this place is so much more fun. Happy days everyone as off to fun4all tonight xx |

It looks as though BBQs are Tuesday and Saturday. We arrive today so hoping to attend Saturday.
Did I read somewhere about a foam party held here too?? Or is that elsewhere? If it's here, does anyone know when?

We think the foam parties are in a Thursday, but save your money, it's really nothing special, they fill a kids pool with foam and all the fuglies head for it to sneak a grope |

LOL - You are right. We thought that we had missed the foam party, but it turned out that it was on the Thursday (after we posted above).
If they are going to continue with the foam party they need to address the very considerable safety issue that will inevitably, sooner or later - result in someone slipping and breaking a limb (or cracking their head). Smooth pool surfaces and edges, mixed with slippery foam are just not a good mix.
As for "fuglies" - what can be said?.....
It is kind of disturbing watching oiled up octagenarians getting down and dirty in a foam pool with House music blasting away in the background.
Overheard on a sunbed next to ours...
"I want to go in the foam, but I don't want to get fingered by an overweight old man who can't even see his own penis because of his belly" |

Ha ha...sounds like you have helped us dodge a bullet there! It sounds a million miles from the foam party in Cap d'Agde.
Are you aware of any other fun daytime swing / adult events that would be good for us to try between now and next Tuesday?
Many thanks

Listen, don’t get us wrong - that is just the way it was last week.
We still think that Venus Star is the new high bar (outside of Cap) that needs to be met.
You don’t have to be a shark to swim with sharks. We did actually have a great week - but in our own way. |

Venus Star Resort is brilliant although there is a small amount of work going on near the entrance. It's a nudist and a swinging resort so it encompasses all ages. From the sexy young Italians who swing like there is no tomorrow lol as we saw at yesterdays Barbecue to the older more mature northern Europeans looking for some warmth in the winter months who love the freedom to have sex in the sun on their own sunbeds. You will see all sorts of people here enjoying the place. We stayed at the other Venus resort for the first week of our holiday before moving for our second week to Venus Star Resort and we found it was much smaller and we had a fantastic time there too. We recommend both places and we also think the extra charges for Venus Star Resort are worth it as there is so much more to do here and yes there isn't much to do in the evenings but that's what the club's and bars are for in PDI which are only about 5 euros away in a taxi. The restaurant in Venus Star Resort is a la carte in the evenings and the food was really good when we ate there. They do breakfast in the morning.
Venus resort doesn't have a restaurant but does get meals in if you book the day before. All the staff from both places are really helpfull and parking is easy at both places. The barbeque at Venus resort was hilarious last week and worth a visit. We stayed at La Mirage in December but we would allways stay at Venus now as the atmosphere is so much better. |

It´s on Thursdays and Mondays too. We agree with you but go always there, because there is fun without the kids pool too, because almost on thursdays there are many people.
Thursday and Sunday are the best visited days except the BBQ (Tuesday and Saturday)... |

We were there last week from Thurs to Mon. The facilities are top quality; plenty of sun loungers (all comfy), rooms are brilliant etc.
There wasn't many (or any) people in our age group though, the majority being a lot older than us. I know that's beyond their control but something to consider if you're under 45 and looking to meet people in your age group.
The jets in the hot tub are ridiculous, the opposite of relaxing. Sit on one of those jets by mistake and you're getting launched into orbit, or worse, inflated
Biggest complaint? The music. It's the same twenty or so songs on loop, some of them really odd choices (I must have heard One Night In Bangkok at least 200 times). At the BBQ on Saturday they switched the music over when everyone was eating...and put some hardcore techno on
After the meal when everyone was socialising and things were heating up they put on Everything Is Awesome from the Lego movie Mental.
All in all, we had a good time and are heading back for a week in October with a group |

Hey,
Hope your both well.
Just wanted some advice I’m thinking of booking my first swinging holiday in Spain.
I’m debating staying at Venus or LM.
Is PDI the best place for myself as a young single male?
I’m fairly experienced on the swinging scene and visiting clubs in the uk.

We had a week recently at Venus star and got to say it’s a top quality place. Plenty of friendly people, lots of action going on all around. Pool is amazing and the jacuzzi is excellent. The staff are extremely good, very helpful and very friendly. The rooms are exceptional, big bright and up to date with everything you’d need for a great self catering stay. The bar and restaurant serve top quality drinks and food. The BBQ continues to be a major plus, lots of choice and it brings in loads of people so you eat drink and meet great new people. |

Visited Venus Star last November for the BBQ with some German friends.
The food was very good but we found the place a bit regimented, both the chalets and sunbeds set up like an army camp.
Although 'up market' our German friends thought the accommodation a 'bit cheap'
Being on a hill we found the resort a bit chilly with the wind.
We played with a couple of couples during our visit but have heard it's a bit dead at night.
Think we will stay a bit longer with the 'run down' LM until VS is a bit more established. |

We are here at the moment and we love it, but everyone's taste is different. Not chilly at all, even on the cloudy days and was roasting today!
Happy hour 6-8 is busy, after that it is quiet, but most people like to go out after that anyway. |
