Hi planning our winter get away to fuerteventura. We usually head to corralejo but will have access to a car so can travel within reason. It would be great to meet couples or fems for fun in the sun. Enjoy the nudist beaches to. |

Thinking of a first time visit to El Cotilo with the gf around march time. What is the weather usually like then and is there plenty of bars and shops there |

El Coltilo has local bars and tapas type bars and wonderful fish restaurants and European restaurants but on the whole it’s quite not like correlejo full of places to eat all types and bars a plenty
Having said that the beach area beyond the small town of coltilo is out of this world |

No there's not, it's very quiet and although there's a handful of decent restaurants there is very little in way of bars and shops.
El Cotillo is a bit of a niche town and probably not the kind of place to to if bars and shops is your thing. That said, I love it.
Just go to Corralejo and if you don't have a hire car take the bus or taxi to Cotlillo. The bus takes an hour e/w and the round-trip in a taxi takes 50 euros out of your wallet. |

"We fly out 24th March, just for a week. Staying in Corralejo.
Thinking of getting a hire car for a day or two, is it cheaper to hire now or when over there?"
We use either auto reisen or cicar. No hidden costs.. Hire before we go and pick up at the airport. Cicar also have an office in Corralejo.. Hope this helps. We arrive on 25th march for 11 nights. |

I've used Autoreisen around a dozen times in the last 4 or 5 years with no issues. One week hire is roughy around the same costs as airport transfers to Corralejo, cheap as chips.
Top tip: One of you wait for the luggage off the carousel while the other goes to collect the car keys, there can be queues at the car rental desks. |

Like others we’ve used Cicar and also their sister company Cabrera Medina. same company but their prices often differ. We’ve used Payless on our last three visits and have been excellent |

We always use Payless. Good Value. No hidden charges and they don't even require a Visa card, so no nasty surprises when you leave the car back. But best of all, we have never been in a queue for collection or drop off at the airport. Seamless. |

"Full insurance with Autoreisen and the cars are new.
Well I'm sure they were once anyway."
Last Oct they gave us a brand new Citroen Cactus which was nice but in march we got a Citroen C3 that was well past its sell by.
But they don't charge for dents or scrapes and only recently started charging for tyre, windscreen and underbody extra but it wasn't very much |
