Hi Fabbers,
We have just booked a couple of weeks at the RIU Don Miguel from 13 August.
- Anyone been there?
- Anyone going there?
- Anyone in PDI last half of August?
Newbies looking to explore the sights, the beach, the bars and the clubs. We have looked through the forums and it all looks exciting stuff

We’re looking at this hotel for a week from the 18th August. Our first ‘adult’ week away as our daughter will be staying away for a week so we are gonna make the most of it!!
Really liking the idea of fun on the beach  |

Same here... Delighted there are others around, even to meet for a coffee and chat. I'm there from 16th, for a week.. Been couple times before, but at Xmas time. I'm aware August and Summer is a different but still will be good to meet new friends. |

Ok. Just come to book the Riu don Miguel and it’s sold out 
So now looking for an alternative hotel.
All suggestions welcome! Would prefer adult only but as long as it’s not a full on family hotel we are quite open to reccomendations. |

We are sure someone kindly messaged us with a link on the forums that gave a really good description of Pubs and Clubs but can’t find the link anymore.
Do people tend to meet at the pubs and then head into the clubs or do people tend to just go back to their hotel rooms to play?
Does much happen daytimes or is it pretty much night time play time?
Is everyone generally looking for full swap in PDI?
Also, bit confused about Kiosk 4 and Kiosk 8 and what to expect. We are in PDI end so guessing Kiosk 8 is closer to walk to at least?
Fancy a bit fun in the dunes but put off a bit with reports of some of the OTT guys. What’s the script about the dunes? Is it all meercats (which is OK as long as respectful) or are there other couples looking for a bit fun in there too?
What time do the swing / meetup pubs / clubs tend to get busy? We have heard it’s much quieter in August. Are the clubs similar set up to the UK with various rooms and stuff?

From a single male perspective I’ll answer some of your questions.
The thing to do on your first visit is to pop in to one of the bars in Cita and meet others looking to meet up. The Fab community is only a very small proportion of couples in Playa Del Ingles so you might miss out meeting lots of lovely people from other European states looking to find you.
From there most go on to one of the many clubs to party and have fun till the early hours.
No doubt some cut out the party side of things and go to the hotels but the fun is based around the clubs.
The areas around Kiosk 4 and 8 in the day will give you the opportunity to meet couples and arrange what ever you fancy, but they are in general not open play areas. A short walk into the dunes and you will find many secluded spots for open sex with whoever you want.
Kiosk 8 is closer to PDI, 10min walk from the prom and very comfortable, a short walk from 8 into the smaller dunes and you can have discreet fun without to many unwanted guests. From there a 20 min walk through the dunes will take you to Kiosk 4 and the dunes behind where you can then judge for yourself whether it’s for you or not.
That way you will find any couples playing and how busy it is.
I would tend to do that after 15.00 as it may be cooler and you will get couples walking through on there way home feeling frisky looking to play with others.
The bars really are quiet before 22.00 then after 23.59 most either head home or to the clubs till the early hours. This isn’t a rule it’s my observation.
Each club will have its own web site and every one is slightly different in its own, but they all have play rooms and they all are very no pressure to play if all you are in the mood joust to sit back and dance or people watch.

Just to add, Yumbo Center is a special place for a drink or two before you hit the clubs as well as dozens of bars in the many other centres around.
Don’t be afraid to walk around PDI and see the all options , you never know who is in that tiny bar, to afraid to venture to the limelight of the swingers bars but looking for that special holiday experience. |

Pretty much spot on  There are clubs in Cita centre, where the two meeting bars are. 2x2 club is in la sandia centre, we like it, but they do have dress codes on certain nights, so not for everyone. There are two clubs in the nilo centre, over the motorway, mostly Spanish couples and I have heard good reviews of them . A taxi is advisable there and back. Have fun!  |

We went in July and it was fairly quiet and told August can be even worse. Just want to warn you if never been before as it's not always like it.
We found secrets was the busiest club.
