For Benidorm it isn't the case of "best club" but "only" club.
Cupido on Carrer San Andreu in the old town. Between the hotels Brazil and Celymar. It's quite small and can sometimes be a bit hit and miss on the numbers, but we've had some good nights in there.
Alicante has 4 or 5 (not sure if Papua is still open)
We prefer Jardin del Eden but Cupido (same ownership as the Benidorm one) is quite good as well.
Aditi gets some good reviews but it tends to attract a younger crowd and can be a bit posey.
Atravete is at the southern end of the city and tends not to attract that many international guests.
At the weekends Spanish clubs open and close very late. Don't bother going until around 11pm and (if you want some action) expect to leave no earlier than 3 am. Although Cupido Benidorm can be an hour earlier.
