Lanzarote in July - Anything to do there?

"We have a holiday in July and was wondering if there was anything of a scene there, staying in PDC"
Lanzarote is a beautiful island and both Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca have been much improved over the years. There are plenty of places you can get naked (Famara, Orzola coves, and there is even a small naturist village at Charcoal Palo. But, unlike Gran Canaria, Lanzarote is just not set up for Swingers. You can have a great holiday and get naked on the beach but finding fellow Swingers will be more pot luck than anything. |

Head for the old port in PDC and enjoy some amazing food! Yep you can get naked on some of the beaches and might find some naughtiness happening if you go to Papagayo (but keep in mind that the road there will not be covered on your hire care insurance - better to walk from Playa Blanca). There used to be a swingers resort hotel in PDC but it's been closed for a few years now. But as a whole it's not really geared up for swingers - but is a great place to explore. |

Most has been said about the Island. I hired a scooter was better and cheaper than a car when I went in February for 2 weeks. I advertised on here about a few weeks before I went but there was little response other than what's been already said. Nude beaches are in the very south as has been said. Pot luck with any fun or linking up.
Nice place though and could be a lot of fun if a few like minded people went as a group. |

Can recomend Low Cost Tours for excursions. They pick up in PDC in about 3 places. The national park is well worth a visit and if you pick the right tour operator you wont pay extra for the drive round the park as they limit the number of coaches.
The market at Playa Blanca on a Wednesday and Saturday is well worth a visit its better than Tegisse market on a sunday.

Charco de Palo is just up the road from Costa Teguise if you want a very comfortable and relaxing Naturist day out. Being in Playa Blanca we will probably spend most of our days at Papagayo. |

The investors in what was “Spice” tried to recreate the concept of “Desire” in Mexico. Unfortunately they chose the wrong island and eventually the investors pulled the plug. There is a market for a high quality, year round Swingers resort but the island of Lanzarote is maybe not where it should have been. |

You need to get yourself down to the small beaches right at the end of Papagayo. It's a long, long walk if you don't have a car. If you do have a hire car then take it easy because you're not insured to drive on the track to the beaches. It's fine if you're careful though. |

Our last day in Charco de Palo and it has been a very quiet cloudy week. It's very much a naturist spot and nothing else happening. Would come back though  |

Lanzarote is beautiful. We found a few folk to play with via fab.
The bus service is fantastic and will take you to most places say or night for very little money. There’s a lot to see.
Charco Palo nudist resort is stunning but mainly pure nudists as opposed to swingers. I think it’s best to drive there for the day
Go with little expectation of having fab fun and you never know... enjoy! |
