I'm sure the Spain forum was further up the page,I seem to recall it being two posts below the Ireland forum.
Now it's three posts from the bottom.
Have I imagined this?
Has it moved?
Or am I going nuts? |

What we need is our own Spanish chatroom. I have tried to instigate one before with no luck. Some of the chat rooms are almost defunct and I'm sure a Spanish one would get a lot of use. Has anyone got any clout that might help to get one for us. |

Maybe the others have more relevance, or more activity...
It's a great idea to have a chat room in Spanish, but I do not think that administrators take it into account. Spain is not important for this website, I wrote to admin several times so you can enter the contact / residence data in Spain, and I have not been successful. |

A chat room in Spanish?
Many here have difficulties writing in English,imagine how we would cope with another language?I can just about get by asking for a beer in Spanish,wouldn't have a clue how to write the same request.
Personally we use the Spain forum for keeping in touch and hopefully making new friends travelling to Spain and its islands,I was just concerned,or more perturbed to see it had moved from its usual berth in the forum list. |

Never mind the Irish one. There are one each for USA and Canada.
Why not lump those two together (call it North America) and give the spare one to Spain or even a joint Spain/France one.
I would guarantee that either would get more use in a week than the pretty much defunct USA & Canada ones get in a year.
The usage of the USA/Canada forums on here compared to Spain/France pretty much says it all. |

I've just compared the archive numbers on the forum and Canada managed a total of 37 threads for the whole of 2017.
Spain got 489 just for September and even the quietest month (February) managed 256.
Spain has a British ex pat population of (depending on whose figures you believe) between 250,000 and 500,000 plus over 10 million British visitors every year and one Spanish resort is the swinging worlds second favourite destination on European soil.
No need for a Spanish chat room???? |

We would totally support a Spanish chat room..we are sure there would also be more users than in the USA or Canada rooms. We would also be happy to become admins for the room as well. Muchas gracias xx |

It would be a Spanish chat room but for English speaking people the same as every other chat room. |

A chat room would be great. There's also an argument for having two forums - one for the peninsular and one for the islands, probably too much to ask for Canaries and Balearics to be split out though.
If profiles/meets could have location inc. Spain then a lot of the forum 'we're in xxx from....' traffic and repeats may reduce too
