A lady friend and I may be interested in visiting El Jardin del Eden at the beginning of December. Can anyone tell me what the Wednesday BBQ is like at this time of year? Also how busy does it get on a Saturday night? Do you need to be members or can you just turn up and pay on the door?

The BBQ is only in the summer months but they usually have some snacks indoors in the winter.
In the winter the Wednesdays can be a bit hit and miss. We've had some good afternoons but we've seen some very quiet ones as well.
You don't need membership, just turn up. |

We've only been a couple of times on a Saturday. We are not too keen on driving that far to get home in the early hours.
Both times it was good although not rammed. However on both occasions it was in the summer months.
As well as international tourists Alicante gets a lot of Spanish visitors from inland in the summer which is enough to keep 5 clubs going in the city. In the winter the market is pretty much limited to locals and a few expats so all the clubs tend to be quieter then. |

It would depend on exactly where in the area you are and if you have transport.
If it's close enough to you we would recommend the Abbey Tavern at La Florida. The area is settling down in to winter mode now so most places will be quiet midweek. |

There is one club in Guardamar Puerto de Amore just off the N332.
We have had some good nights there in the past but we (and many others) think that its best days are behind it.
It's over a year since our last visit but the last few times we went were very quiet and the place has a bit of a run down feel about it. |

They say they still have a barbeque between 14 and 16, so maybe we will not be the only ones there tonight.
This is part of the fun with new places - you never know.

It may be a little quiet now the season is pretty much over. We go more or less every Wednesday but in Benidorm at the moment. We love the place. We are going this Sat night. Don't expect too much re the BBQ, not fine dining. In fact it may only be cold buffet this time of year. Anyway hope it's a good visit for you.

We will be at the DD party (private house Nr Orihuela) next Saturday (25th) and our "trio berth" is empty.
If there is a nice single guy out there who would like to join us then get in touch.

Hi,if we go on a Saturday night we stay in the "Hotel Colon", yes that is the name. It's small,cheap & cheerful but no bar or restaurant. A taxi about 8 ?? as I remember. Find it on booking dot com |

While quite a few of us from CB south (ourselves included) often drive up to Benidorm I'm not sure that Benidorm visitors should be included on the "Torrevieja and Costa Blanca South" list.
Firstly Benidorm has more than enough threads of its own on here, especially in the summer months, so I don't really see why Benidorm visitors should need to post on this one.
Secondly, if only because of their sheer numbers, if Benidorm visitors start to regularly add their names here then they could completely overwhelm the thread and just turn it into another Benidorm one with a few CBS people mixed in.
Lastly Benidorm isn't Costa Blanca South so once the boundary is pushed then how much further do we push it? Up to Denia, down to Vera? Maybe include Valencia and Almeria as well? One or two residents from further up the coast is fine but does anyone want to see this thread finish up full of "Fred&blogs - 1st-7th June - Sol Pelicanos" Etc?
At the moment the list is split into two with one section for residents and another for visitors, so I suppose a happy halfway could be that a third section be added for Benidorm visitors who are interested in Costa Blanca South, but to include anyone who is just staying for a week in the Pelicanos will see the thread descend into just another Benidorm one.

We added to the list because we are based in benidorm for the week but are travelling to San pedro for the day to visit family and are willing to stay a bit longer if there is anyone worth staying for. We would love to go to clubs a bit further a field but wouldn't know we're to start so any help would be appreciated.

Fair to say it is busier in the summer months when the outside pool is open ; also more people out on holiday incl different nationalities. Through the winter though it has been pretty good and we go most Wednesday afternoons. |

I don’t know much about la marina but la Mosca is a nice little beach near Punta Prima if you park at Punta Prima and turn right as your looking out to sea walk along the cliff for 5 minutes and you can climb down to the beach below
If you want a full day nude including in shops bar restaurant visit El portus for the day
We spent 3 weeks in it one time and never dressed once
It’s about 50/60 km from Torrevieja |

The above directions to Cala Mosca are good but it should be noted that there are two small beaches there.
From Punta Prima, the first beach (larger one of the two) tends to be about 50/50 naturist and textile. The second (smaller) one is pretty much 100% naturist.
Look for the makeshift railing at the top of path down. Also on both the amount of sand can be dependent on the weather.
For La Marina take the N332 towards Alicante.
Once you have passed Guardamar you will come to a roundabout with the "Nancy" nightclub (brothel) on your right, carry straight on there and also at the next roundabout but stay in the inside lane. After a few metres this lane exits the 332 (take it) and is signed "La Marina Playas" Approx 500 metres further you will see the camp site on your right hand side. Turn right down the side of the camp site and park in the car park on your left.
Take either the wooden walkway or the pedestrian road through the woods to the beach. At the beach turn right and the naturist part starts a couple of hundred metres further and stretches all the way to the Segura estuary.
From Torrevieja around 15/20 minutes drive and 15 minute walk from the car park.
There is another route from the "Nancy" roundabout but it involves driving on a few dirt tracks and is a bit more complicated.
