We booked with jet2 when we booked the flights - really cheap !

When you factor in taxi costs to and from airport it was a no brainer!

We hope to visit the interior a couple of days to chill out from the nightlife - looks lovely....

And seeing were staying in apartment near cita we'll be able this year to do a big shop for Sammy Miguel in comfort lol

RB, if you do hire a car, there is a Hypermarket, just beyond the airport, that is even cheaper than Mercadona. We are considering the same....also sort your own collision damage waiver, online, don't pay for the hire firms one. Martin Lewis's website gives good advice on it....better cover and fraction of cost.

Whenever you take rent a car In GC take photos right after hiring it. Depends on the company they will try to scam at some point

Lanzarote

Sky scanner gives you the best options from all rental company's - I'm living in Lanzarote and rent a car monthly- this month cost €107, that's for 28 days!! Third party insurance with pre-purchased fuel- A bargain, well worth checking out.

We've used Autoreisen in Tenerife, Lanzarote and booked for next week in GC ( can't wait )

Never had any problems and they dont have an excess if you do happen to get a scrape. The only thing they would charge for is a damaged tyre, lost or broken key or damaged under the car if you go offroad.

Any other company its definitely worth getting an annual excess policy for about £30 but be careful what receipts they need for a claim. Some want an itemised parts labour bill from the garage doing the repair which might be difficult to get once you return home.
