"Hi Guys.. Looking for a bit of advice really.. Unfortunately I now find myself single but booked a couples holiday to PDI before we split up. Looking for advice on what to do during the day now. I'm not going to go down to kiosk 4 and being round the pool at the Gold would have me bored silly, so looking for different things/activities to do. I'm a scuba diver so I've pencilled in to do that on 1 day but has anyone got any other suggestions.. All help is appreciated.. Thank you. Harry x" Go to Puerto Rico ..Amadores. Mogan. . get jeep safari trip in to the mountains if it will be intresting for you . Visit caves ..people still live there . " Went to Mogan last time, I was really impressed, but I was thinking of somewhere different, which you have provided.. The caves sound interesting but I don't know if I want to be inside on hot days? As for the clubs, I certainly will be frequenting, hoping they are more welcoming than in the UK.. "We hired a car for a couple of days and toured the island loved every minute of it. So much of the beaten track in GC. " Hiring a car would be an option, also local bus service is good, to get to other places. Enjoy your holiday OP  | |||

A car would be ok if I was with someone but I don't really fancy driving round the Island and not being able to take the sights in and I can't have a drink. Maybe next time, thanks for your suggestion.

"Search walking in GC and plan a trip inland. Pine forest,lakes and hours of peace. My favourite walk is to Gui Gui beach. Early Bus from PDI to Mogan,Bus to Tarasico? (I'll look it up later). Then find the trail over the mountain and down to the beach. It will take a couple of hours to walk but worth it. I camp over night or back for the last bus home. PS thumbing a lift can be fun." Although I'm not really into having a walk, I very much like the idea of thumbing it. I can handle myself and won't really have much money on me, so that really appeals to me.. They can hardly drive me hundreds of miles away... Yeah I like that, cheers!! | |||

Not having a go, Harry, I'm just thinking maybe you're going to the wrong place for your holiday, I hope you have a nice holiday "Ok, no problem and yes I would prefer to be going somewhere else but if you look at the opening post, I mentioned about it being a couples holiday but it's now a single. Surely you can understand why I still continued with my holiday if it's at the Gold. I've paid for it.. Anyway, I'll be quiet now, if people think I'm ungrateful and sorry if it came across as such.. "Harry taxis are so cheap in GC why don't you just hop into a taxi and go to the lighthouse. You can then turn left and walk along the beach to K4 or turn right and wander down the Boulevard. Retail therapy, stop off for a drink here and there etc etc. I always holiday in Maspalomas and as a single guy I've never found any difficulty meeting and chatting to others. Its not all about sex, theres a lot to be said for rest and relaxation And as people have pointed out the freedom to do what you want when you want. Whatever you decide to do just chill and have a good break. "I appreciate your message, ty.. I will know plenty of people there but I don't want to outstay my welcome.. I'll go and have the best time ever, I'm just panicking a little as it hits home.. The holiday duration is a week, I'm stopping in arguable the best Hotel on the Island, meeting up with some of the best friends I've ever met, so I'll be fine, happy and plenty to look forward to.. I've never been to Maspalomas and I believe that's a lovely place so that's one day sorted... I've still got 2 months yet and a lot can happen, I could have had a shot gun wedding in that time LOL... x | |||

Harry x" Amadores beach club or la mar in the day are good for chilling n relaxing or if you like a bet go to the bookies all in puerto rico Crocodile park is s great place to go or the arhucas factory. Las palmas is a place to explore or las canteras beach | |||
