Spanish Govenment ban Nudist Beaches
Jump to: Newest in thread
I looked at the Spanish naturist site and couldn't find anything about it. I'm sure that if there were any significant changes they would be shouting it from the rooftops.
Technically in Spain it has always been legal to be naked in public (although not always in practise) and if there is such a new law I think they are just setting some boundaries.
I suppose the next question is how naked is naked?
Would topless and a thong on Benidorm beach attract a fine? |

"BBC Radio news, Said nudist on Spanish beaches will be fined €660 if caught said Spanish Govenment, any one else heard this and does this mean GC as well "
BBC Radio is wrong.... That's not true. No problem here. Nude beaches are still nude beaches.... |

Mostly depends on local laws, not on national law....just need to know it's almost the same like other eouropean countries....... if you like to enjoy a naked day on the just look for a clothing optional area on the beachs....avoid family spots... |

Well......if you need to anything about Spain just ask to spainsh people round here...... it's easy......as a social network we're here to help each other.....avoid fake media full of lies.....
I'm living in Fuerteventura, another Canary Island as Gran Canaria, and we have regional and local governments and laws, not quite differents as other regions in Spain...... We're still a little nudist paradise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.....come, visit us and enjoy.....lol |

Maybe the story came from a new local law in San Pedro del Pinatar (Murcia) and then blown out of proportion by the BBC
It came into force on the 18th July this year (incidentally the anniversary of the publication of Franco's nationalist manifesto) and prohibits nudity on all beaches in the municipality.
According to Naturismo.org. The town hall is using it as nothing more than a smokescreen for its environmental failings and is the only municipality in Spain to have such a law.
Naturismo.org also urges all members and fellow naturists to boycott the town. |

Nudism is covered by municipal bylaws in Spain. It is down each town hall to decide on their own rules. It has nothing to do national or regional governments |
