Slightly off topic but would be grateful for some opinions on what a vanilla holiday would be like over there. Thinking of two weeks next August but there doesn't seem to be as much information as some of the other islands. We've only been to Tenerife so would like to know how it compares.
TIA

Corralejo is superb, Been all the canaries and this resort is by far the best. Not as hectic as others but very laid back, some superb restaurants & bars and probably one of the best beaches ever next to the Rui hotels although if u go on the flag beach (next door back towards corralejo, just before grand natura hotel) there's fun to be had if u drop on ![](/icons/thumb_up.png) |

Fuerteventura may not be to everyone's taste but we love it. Not much action, but very laid back with glorious clothing optional beaches - great for a vanilla holiday. Would recommend Riu Tres Islas near Corralejo just on the edge of a beautiful beach where you can strip off. |

Thank you, we didn't particularly like the feel of the southern resorts in Tenerife so were looking for something less commercial and quieter as well as we don't like high rise resorts, as long as there is daytrips on offer we'll be happy, and the beaches look amazing |

Tres isles in Fuerte is a lovely hotel!! Their sister hotel ( Masapslomas Palace ) in GC is indentical and has the big advantage of being both on the beach / Dunes AND within walking distance of most of the swinging bars and clubs !!!! |

We've been three times in the last 18 months, stayed at Barcello and loved it. The beaches are wonderful as naturists, you can't go wrong, very laid back, but I'd imagine in August it would be swamped with families. |

We'd be adding to the families, we quite fancy a naturist beach but the two teenagers cringed, though the youngest thought it was a great idea. |
