Malaga Spain but sometimes Manchester and

Done it a many times. About 600 quid if you go for a cabin both ways and a family car but prices go up in the summer.

Cabopino, 29604, Marbella,Spain, NOT

Did a one way trip a few months ago, Marbella to Santander 1100 km in 10.5 hours, then 24 hours on the ferry costing £350, plus food and drink on the boat.

Yea I aimed for about £500 not including the fuel or tolls.

B will be driving himself so distance won't be an issue for him.

24 hours unless you get one where they change crews at Roscoff then it's more like 30 hours

I think it was Brittany ferries we were looking at.

A full day travelling. But you get a cabin on the ferry.

I would recommend driving up through France and using a French port. If you don't know, the roads are very good , much better than the UK network.

I would prefer to minimise the driving hours to be honest.

I'm looking for the quickest route A-B.
