Can't tell you much about playing in El Cotillo but we stayed there on a family holiday a few years back. Lovely little town with a few restaurants/bars and the beach is wonderful too.
The closest we got to swinging was putting on a show at night from our glass fronted apartment for the guys on thr beach below! 
We did travel around a bit and saw a bit of the island but if I was staying again would definitely go back to El Cotillo as much prefer to the busier Corralejo.

Well....Cotillo is a tiny quiet village.....just on the northwestern coast....full of nice beaches, a few local restaurants and some funny bars....
Enjoy the lagoons when going to the beach.....quite lonesome and relaxing....
If you are lucky you can meet some nice couples there..... 
nice restaurants: El Callao, La Vaca Azul

we are going on 5th to 19th where is the best place for cpls is ths the north of the town, we are staying at riu so hired a car for two weeks just wondered how to get to the best lagon for cpls once in the town |

Pretty sure Riu hotel is Corralejo rather than El Cotillo as there arent any big hotel chains in El Cotillo. |

we have been to el cotilla in the lagoon area not many cpls playing we did manage to play as another cpl watched and will be on the beach past the azuro restaurant today sunday 9th July if you see us come and find the stone circle close to us we have a grey and green small tent.we went to the right of the riu hotel yesterday but predominantly gay but again did watch a cpl watching us. hope to find a few more cpls today at ell cotilla |
