Not staying at La Mirage but in the area from 25th April for 5 nights.

Hi there,
La Mirage was our first swinging holiday.
We've been 5 times now. Its really relaxed, absolutely no pressure, really good facilities, they don't overcharge for drinks and snacks. About 10 mins walk from the beach. Taxis into PDI really easy to get, about 4 Euros. Newsagents a short walk. Small supermarket and a few nice restaurants/bars in Faro 2 center 5 mins walk if you don't want to go into PDI.
La Mirage is well laid out, good pool, couple of jacuzzi, a small and a large playroom.
Whichever room you're in, its as close or as far from fun as you want it to be. The rooms themselves are good, with a kitchenette/lounge area, and small frontage if you prefer to sit by the room.
We've been at various times of year , generally November or Feb/Mar.
What is nice to do is hire a car half way through and take a drive up into the mountains.... Some stunning views.
You'll find all the guests are really nice as well... A good mix of different nationalities.
All of the staff are superb.
I find it hard to relax because of my work; la mirage is about the only place I've found where I can completely switch off and feel like I've got away from it all.

Excellent description of La Mirage JandS66. It's very busy so you'll need to book way in advance unless a cancellation comes up.
We're just back from there after only 4 days this time but loved the freedom xx |

I don't mean to be a party pooper but we must be the only people who didnt like the la mirage...
Place is clean, nice apartments, good playrooms and excellent value for money.... but..., we didn't like the fact it was like living in a goldfish bowl, the English on one side and the Germans/French on the other.. Also a rather rude receptionist, IMO..
To anyone who is thinking of trying it, get a day pass, I think it's about 40euro, try before you buy...
I did think the 5pm dress down was very good though..

I thought so! Maybe start a thread for Majorca, rather than post on a Gran Canaria thread, that way you will hopefully see who else is there, when you are. Hope you have a lovely holiday  |

Haven't been ourselves, but have heard differing reviews of La Mirage. That's a good idea to visit for the day, but I suppose it depends who's there. |

We get there on Saturday 6th so maybe we will see you there. Same week we used to visit Spice ever year and hoping so of the regulars for that week at Spice have also migrated to La Mirage now Spice is no more |
