Best hotels and places to stay in Gran Canaria

Hi guys

We are planning to take a trip to visit the famous dunes

as well as vanilla activity's

Advice on the best hotels/places to go would be great as we have never been before.

The nicest hotels are in Meloneras.. The whole area is far nicer than PDI yet is close enough to walk to the swingers beach or even the CITA etc if it's a nice night and you like walking.

The Lopisan etc and other hotels toward the small beach in Meloneras are very nice directly overlooking the sea and with nice walk ways and shops. Further along there is building work so check if booking..

There are some other really lovely beaches and hotels further along the coast but if you want yo be close to PDI then Meloneras is the nicest.

Just for a bit of info for people. There was a fire in the dunes today don't know how bad it ended up. That's the 2nd fire there today.

We stayed at sunprime Atlantic in pdi adults only . Been 4 times near to everything and nice and quiet if you want to chill...

Can thoroughly recommend the Riu Palace Oasis Maspalomas. Spotlessly clean extremely attentive staff and a lovely 4 star hotel right next to the beautiful Meloneras promenade and shopping area. P.s. the food is pretty spectacular too.
