MASPALOMAS BEACH: EUROPE’S NUDIST CAPITAL
MASPALOMAS BEACH is the world's busiest naked spot and the world's biggest nudist holiday destination. The nude area of the beach is at the east end where the biggest dunes meet the sea. Activity centres around the beach kiosks as many nudists prefer to rent sun loungers rather than sit on the sand. The gay nudist area is by the kiosk 4 with the big rainbow flag.
Nudism on Maspalomas is far more social than your normal naked beach; people cluster in groups and chat. If you'd rather go wild with more space around you, then just steer clear of the kiosks.
We thought we would share our experience with you about the infamous “Dunes” first as there is a lot of negative posts about the hordes or horny sexual predators which we think is misleading. Playa Del Ingles Beach is pretty long and has Kiosks dotted along it every few hundred meters, the kiosks rent out sun loungers a few euros a day but you can also just lay on a towel for free and these kiosks tend to form groups of sunbathers. There are 3 nudist kiosks, the swingers one is Kiosk 4 a short walk from Faro Lighthouse, if you walk too far you will notice the gay nudist area next to the straight one. The beach area is supposedly just naturist only but later in the day when the non-swinger nudists go home things get a bit naughtier. The real action is the Dunes behind Kiosk 4; you can walk there easily from the beach and head into the bushy area. You will notice lots of singles guys wandering around either dressed or naked. If you enter here as a couple, you can expect to be noticed and followed from a distance by horny single guys hoping to see some action. This is what most people complain about as it does feel strange being followed by naked horny guys who are happy to start wanking at you.
If you’re a confident couple though then this shouldn’t phase you as no matter how many guys there are, they will respect a polite but firm “no”. The secret here is to casually walk amongst the bushes then cut through some of thicker vegetation out of sight so that you lose most of them. Then find a spot that can’t be approached easily due to the thorny dense vegetation. There are a couple of great spots for this and it means guys can only view you from the other side of bushes and can’t actually get close without being very obvious.
Then once you have found your spot, put a towel down and just chill for 10 to 15 minutes enjoying the sun. The horny guys will think you are not playing and just go away, some will try and get your attention by wanking loudly but you just look at them, laugh and say no and they soon get the point. When you feel comfortable you can then have some outdoor fun sex in the sand dunes and it really is a great experience doing it in such beautiful surroundings with clear blue skies above. There will always be a couple of single guys nearby watching, they will most likely try to approach you to join in but just say no and they back off.
The beauty of there being several guys there is that the other guys will get pissed off in one guy is too pushy as he will spoil it for the rest of them so they actually help you out. Another really useful tip is have your camera out to film your fun as soon as you point the camera at the guys they get all scared of ending up on the internet so they back off as they don’t want their wives finding out lol.
If you’re feeling adventurous and spot a guy or two you like you can invite them over one at a time to play with. They are very obedient and do what you say. We even got some of them to wank off into the sand in front of us whilst we teased them with our own sex. We also got one guy to hold our camera for us and take photos and videos whilst we play with each other and then gave him a blowjob as a reward lol.
The main point about the dunes is there are a few horny single guys by the beach area but they just want a bit of fun and will do whatever you tell them as long as you are confident. To be fair we are a confident couple and not the kind of people you would want any issues with so we found it easy to confidently control the situation and soft played with up to 10 guys for a bit of fun.
We will say with regards to safety in the Sand Dunes the whole beach is patrolled by police regularly and they are there to stop crime not your swinging fun so we feel the whole place is really safe. We think the single guys there get a bad rep as they are just horny guys who want in on the fun so telling them clearly what you want works as the other single guys actually make sure no one acts out of line because it'll ruin it for them too if a couple gets annoyed and stops playing and walks off.
PLAYA del INGLES; EUROPE’S MOST FAMOUS BEACH
The west end of Playa del Inglés beach, where it joins up with Maspalomas beach is nudist. It's often quieter than the Maspalomas nude area as most nudists go around the dogleg to the nudist snack kiosks.
Both beaches get plenty of textile visitors walking between the resorts so popping into the water can be a little surreal.
Playa del Inglés must be Europe's busiest and most famous beach; its three kilometres of sand are packed every day and it gets millions of bums on sand each year.
You might expect a beach this busy to be claustrophobic, but Playa del Inglés is big enough for everyone to find their own space. With Maspalomas next door (the two are actually one long beach), it's over six kilometres of sand with a vast dune system attached. The brochures call it a mini Sahara Desert, but scientists believe the whole area formed during an enormous tidal wave over 200 years ago.
OTHER NUDIST BEACHES INCLUDE:
• MONTANA DE ARENA beach is at the base of a giant sand dune just west of Pasito Blanco harbour. It's long been a local nudist spot but has become more popular with tourists who want nudism without the Maspalomas and PDI crowds.
The beach is a short walk from the GC 500 road (it has a bus stop). Nowadays the track from Las Carpinteras beach has been eroded away so you need to walk to the east end of the dune to get down to the water. When you get to the top of the dune, look for the footprints that show you the easiest way to scramble down.
• GUAYEDRA in the north-west of Gran Canaria is one of the island's most pristine spots. The mixed sand and pebble beach is at the mouth of a valley full of palms and mastic trees and is within the Biosphere Reserve. The sea at Guayedra can be rough with strong dumpy waves so please take care when swimming.
Access is via a decent track that starts five kilometres down the GC 200 road between Agaete and La Aldea. Park by the house and walk down the track to the sea. Turn right for the beach.
• GUIGUI beach is Gran Canaria's mythical beach. Once home to a community of naked hippies, it now only has a resident hermit. Locals hike into GüiGüi from Tasartico (a couple of hours walk) and camp (although it's technically illegal to sleep over as there is no official campsite).
To visit GüiGüi the easy way, book a boat trip from Puerto Rico marina. You may not get to spend much time on the sand but at least you'll see it.
For a real GüiGüi experience, hike to the beach from Tasartico village (off the GC 200 road). The beautiful walk takes a couple of hours and you need to carry all the water and supplies you need. You can also do a four-hour hike from La Aldea village to GüiGüi beach.
• MEDIO ALMUD: Sheltered by two rock headlands, MEDIO ALMUD is a calm and sheltered nudist beach popular with local nudists in south-west Gran Canaria. It's a mix of sand and pebbles and rarely sees more than a dozen people on weekdays.
Medio Almud is between Tauro and Taurito. The beach has a tarmac road right down to the sand (built by over-enthusiastic developers) but it's blocked off. Park or get off the bus by the bus stop and walk down to the beach.
As with all local nudist beaches in Gran Canaria, keep camera use to a minimum.
• TIRITANA: If you want the GüiGüi experience without the long hike, then TIRITANA is your beach. It's a short hike down the barranco from the road and is almost always deserted. The beach is mostly pebbles but does get sandy patches at low tide.
Bring water and supplies as the on-off hermit doesn't like sharing his beer.
• AGUADULCE: The prettiest nudist spot in east Gran Canaria, golden AGUADULCE beach is popular with locals but rarely gets any tourists.
Nudists cluster at the eastern end by the little cliff as it's the most sheltered spot (Aguadulce can be windy).
Park at Tufia and walk north from the car park to get to this beach. It's just 100 metres down the hill and sand dune.
• EL CONFITAL - Las Palmas' most pristine beach is to the north of the city and is the only one in north Gran Canaria that faces south. This gives it great views of the island and of Teide volcano as well as great sunsets.
With one of Europe's top surf waves just offshore and a nudist area at the west end of the boardwalk, El Confital is the city's chill out spot.
During the week El Confi, as it's known to the locals, is almost empty but it fills up at weekends, especially if the wave is firing.
Other nudist beaches in Gran Canaria include Pasito Bea just west of Pasito Blanco marina, Llano de los Militares just east of Arguineguín, and the remote south west beaches at Veneguera, Tasarte and Tasartico.
PLEASE NOTE: As it is perfectly legal to be nude on any beach in Spain (really), you are fine going naked on any quiet bit of the coast if there's nobody else around. If there's a basic rule, then it is don't take your clothes off in the proximity of houses or restaurants and take a hint from those around you and you will be fine.
