PDI - Maspalomas Dunes, Kiosks, Nude Beaches?
Jump to: Newest in thread
Anyone know there way around the beach and dunes of Maspalomas care to share.. we researched it last time we were out but the kiosk numbers seem to move around a bit.. a guide to the beach would be most welcome. What kiosk will we have in 2025? Does each have a particular crowd/niche. Same for areas of the beach.. what do we need to know. For us, a bit of nude sunbathing. Hanging out with other swingers would be fun. And are there any gay/bi areas. That could be fun too. |

We have just landed after being there, kiosk 3 is closer to the town and is nude with a great vibe, kiosk 7 is the same but along the beach towards the lighthouse, its quite a trek though lol
2 is by tipsy hammock and they work up the numbers along the water towards the lighthouse, I think there's 8 in total, the last one is more of a family affair just under the lighthouse!
Have an amazing time x

Ah great, thanks guys. So is 3 not too far from the Tipsy Hammock? Any idea how much of schlep it is to Kiosk 7 from the lighthouse side? We're staying nearer the Tipsy Hammock end, so I imagine Kiosk 3 will be the one for us. But we stayed at Venus last time and spent a lot of time over in Meloneras, so might wander over from that side occasionally. X |

Kiosk 3 is just off to the right of the tipsy hammock, it's quite open there and not much in the way of play .
There are small areas of mounds / dunes that have been roped off for protection and they do get used and there are normally the usual meerkats hanging around!
If you walk the beach around towards the lighthouse you will get to the LGBT flag and kiosks , last time we walked around it was very busy and lively with music and both kiosks almost joined with the crowd.
Keep going and you will get to the old 7 , can't miss it as the bar has a big LOVE sign .
A bit of activity happens in the dunes behind, again a lot has been ropped off now to protect them... and they do patrol and fine for trespassing.
These dunes are vast and go back for miles .
You can also access via the riu hotel path , but it's still a very long walk to 7 and 3 from there.
( there isn't any play at any of the kiosks ... just the dunes )
There are quite a few new bars and clubs since you visited last time ... have fun ! |

The dunes from east to west are only 2½-3km (1½-2 miles)and extend inland little more than a mile as the crow flies. Kiosks are numbered East to West 2 is near Tipsy H to 8 about 400m from lighthouse at Maspalomas.
Nudist & swimware sunbathing between 3 & 7. K5&6 are predominantly nudist and LGBTQ+ identified by rainbow flags. K7 overwhelmingly nudist. K8 predominantly swimware. Great vibe and music at K7 although predominantly German though plenty of British. Still get a 4G phone signal there!
Walking over dunes is a workout, but along the beach by the sea much firmer sand and much quicker likewise along the clearly marked paths at the back from the Rui at PDI to Maspalomas. From the Rui to the lighthouse barely half an hour if reasonably fit. Walking from say K2 to k7 along beach in as little as half an hour if walking with purpose else 45+ mins if taking it easier.
Prices at K7 very reasonable - €4 for a beer from recollection. Sunbeds were cheap too though many just use beach sheets.

Some great info coming in here folks.. thank-you. So sounds like k3 is the easy option for us.. closer to our apartment, not far from the Tipsy Hammock is also a bonus
BUT K7 and the LGBGT kiosks sound more bohemian and fun!
Guess we'll have to try both ends |

"It's a fair trudge to kisok 7 but we think it's worth it "
.. and if you come from Melenoras / Lighthouse side? We spent a fair bit of time there last time we came so might give kiosk 7 area a try after we've been there mebbe.. it's much closer isn't it? X |

Global bus service is around €1.80 from anywhere in pdi to faro light house... From there it's a 25 minute walk to kiosk 7.
Fantastic service as most coaches to most destinations pass through there which means bus service is very frequent and usually every 15 minutes.
We feel it's the best way to get there.... Hope this helps |

15 minutes walk from the lighthouse.
50 minutes from the Tipsy hammock along the edge of the water
30 minutes from the Riu palace through the dunes
Kiosk 7 is on Google maps you can get directions for walking from anywhere |

There are literally taxis everywhere...if you see one with a green light on the roof, they're available...just flag one down.
Otherwise give one with an orange light a wave and they tend to send one to you...or there are ranks outside the main shopping centres
we never wait more than a couple of minutes for a cab... |

8 to 10 euros seems to get you where you need to be. From our accommodation down to Melanoras has been around 6 euros. From Melanoras all the way up over and back down to the Tipsy Hammock we just this minute did.. 10 euros something x |
