Where are your favourite places to eat in PDI? Looking for something highly rated and recommended with excellent service to treat ourselves.

We did Restaurante Lola last year.

And Restaurante 360° at the Bohemia is a possibility.

Open to suggestions over in Meloneras, but probably would prefer to stick to PDI side!

El Poncho

Wapa Tapa

Lolas (service and menu excellent but found food a bit heavy/rich - just didn’t choose wisely on that trip)

Not been to Rias Bajas yet (next to Yumbo) but it’s on our list for seafood as heard great things

Go to Melonares if you want a decent restaraunts.

- cafe del Mar. Lovely setting and food. Plus the entertainment is excellent.

- Pitas y flautas . Have the fideua, the excellent Spanish dish.

- blue marlin Ibiza sky lounge. Views to die for!

- Restaraunt escalaritas- amazing seafood. Worth checking before going as their menu changes depending on what’s caught.

If you want to stay around Pdi/maspslomas , Cita centre etc -

- el poncho. Good steak Restaraunt

- los porches . Doesn’t look much but a traditional Spanish Restaraunt run by same family since the 70s.

Our personal choice for a nice /special meal would be Melonares .

Thank you for all these great suggestions.

Lovin’ Food, 360 at Bohemia, and WapaTapa were all fully booked for the days we could go. So if anyone does want to try them, make sure you book!

We did however try:

Sakura III. We chose a couple of mixed sushi boards and they were excellent, the hamachi was my favourite. The tempura was just average, so I’d skip that in future. We had the choice of where to sit, and while we picked outside, I think I would have preferred to sit inside. We didn’t book, and there were plenty of available tables.

El Poncho Steakhouse. We took a chance and arrived without a booking at 7pm. They were already busy, but we were lucky to get a table. The steaks were excellent. I had the Fillet Medallion, with gratin potatoes and bearnaise sauce, and I’m still thinking about how nice it was 2 days later! We would definitely go back!

Calma Chicha. We made a booking on the same day we went, after trying for the day before and it already being full! It’s only small, so again make sure you book. They have a nice selection of fresh fish and meat, and the flavours were all great. Only thing was that it was actually quite dark in there and I wish I could have seen the food better. Overall recommend this place too!

Of the 3, the El Poncho was our favourite.

Looking forward to trying more of your suggestions next year!
