To be fair Villamartin Plaza is more restaurants and a few smaller bars. It's never really been known for entertainment. The odd Karaoke and that is about it.
Better to go down to La Florida (The Abbey Tavern, Waldamars, Emerald Isle and Bar Arianz). You will always find something there.
Or try CC Flamenca Beach (Celtic Drop and Legends) or La Zenia or Cabo Roig strip. All of those have good year round entertainment.
Just because there little or nothing in one small part doesn't mean that the area is dead. |

Didn’t say the area was. Just VM. There used to be loads of entertainment until the Irish bar threw their toys out of the pram and put a stop to it.
I know the area well. Live in La Zenia and frequent the Irish bar street and Cabo Roig street. Loads going on and 15 walk to the beach. That’s why I bought there last year and not VM. |

To be honest Villamartin isn't our favourite part of the area, we only rarely venture up there.
We much prefer Playa Flamenca/La Florida.
We were in the plaza about 3 weeks ago (first time for a good few years) and yes, it was quiet.
La Florida was still very busy though.
We've had a house in the area for over 20 years. Seen it all, from the boom time in the early 2000's (the plaza was busy in those days) to the bust of the late 2000's/early teens.
The area is making a strong comeback now, I just hope they don't ruin it with overbuilding again. But they probably will. |

Oh they will. Apartments are going up along the 432. Traffic is already a nightmare in the summer.
I have to say that even in the winter months my area is busy. I arrive today (yay) for 12 days. If you fancy meeting in Paddy’s Point (my second home) for snifter then that would be lovely. |

Can anyone revommend a bar (not a swing club) where awing socials take place, or, if my wife dressed sexily, she would get complimented , asked to dance etc... tried vanilla bars but no onw will.approach a couple. Is there a place where 'likeminded people' attend ? |

Had a place here for over 20 years and if there is one we haven't found it yet.
There was a bar in Rojales that briefly held swinger socials, but that was around 10 years ago and didn't last long. |

You are probably thinking of David (aka Dirty David) and Jojo. They used to run party's at a villa in Rafal and bloody good they were. Sadly missed.
I can't remember the name of the bar in Rojales but it was run by a woman called Suzi.
She tried to set it up as a bit of a swinger meeting venue and David and Jojo did a few socials there. But it only lasted a few months.
Probably not as long as 10 years ago, more like 7 or 8.
Apart from Besos club, which I believe is now closed, and the old Puerto Amore club which closed years ago, there has been nothing else on the South Costa Blanca in the last 20 years.
For anything else you have to go to Alicante city or there is "Swinger69" just outside Murcia city.
That really is it. |

Unless you can hook up with someone on here then not a lot really.
The only club is "Swinger69" just outside Murcia city. After that it's up to Alicante.
Since San Pedro banned nudity on all its beaches, there are no official Nudist beaches on the Mar Menor.
You could try the El Portus naturist beach/campsite between Cartagena and Mazarron. We've been told (but not seen ourselves) that there can be a bit of discreet fun to be had there. But emphasis on discreet.

You are probably thinking of David (aka Dirty David) and Jojo. They used to run party's at a villa in Rafal and bloody good they were. Sadly missed.
I can't remember the name of the bar in Rojales but it was run by a woman called Suzi.
She tried to set it up as a bit of a swinger meeting venue and David and Jojo did a few socials there. But it only lasted a few months.
Probably not as long as 10 years ago, more like 7 or 8.
Apart from Besos club, which I believe is now closed, and the old Puerto Amore club which closed years ago, there has been nothing else on the South Costa Blanca in the last 20 years.
For anything else you have to go to Alicante city or there is "Swinger69" just outside Murcia city.
That really is it."
the bar was called Saints and Sinners, only lasted a short time unfortunately ... Puerto d'amore was great for a few years but then got run down, and the woman that owned it was jailed for taking out a hit on her husband...... Besos was good set up in Guardamar but terrible atmosphere, staff needed to be more friendly. shame there is not something closer |

Hi all,
I did write this in a prior post but not much response so reposting here.
Newly moved to the area & have a female friend coming over at the end of the month. She is very interested to try the scene so wanted to show her around & maybe connect with some locals for socials, nights out & maybe more. I have been coming here for years and been to Besos a few times but know this is now closed.

I'll be in torrevieja for a few weeks 15th April onwards.
In the San Luis urbanisation and can accommodate.
