We are looking to go visit the clubs October half term next year. Only flights I can find are the Saturday afternoon which gets us in Saturday evening with a package holiday.

Do you all just book an individual hotel direct then book separate flights and arrange your own transfers?

The dates we go are set and can't get to the Friday afternoon flight to avoid the issue.

Any help please.... xx

Everyone is different depending on where they are staying...

Over the years we have done everything from whole package deal with mainstream hotels to booking flights / resorts / villas and car hire or transfers separately..

Our preference is the latter now - Flights / Villa and car hire all separate..

We also prefer morning flights from UK - if you look at RyanAir - Luton flights every Saturday at 07:35 - even showing Oct 25 at the moment - we prefer this time as gets you into GC at mid day - airport always much quieter than when bulk of UK flights land in the evening.. plus a decent time back into UK a week later..

Any other info you need - just shout

Only ever booked hotels and flights direct. Works for us as we get discounts at the Barceló group

October 2025?

Leave booking another 12 months TBH

Flight schedules change (as do prices) ...sometimes a lot. For instance, Jet2 switch from summer schedule to winter schedule mid to late October and this can shift. We had an outbound flight changed from a 3pm departure to a 9am departure which you might find inconvenient to say the least if you are working around commitments.

As to our process

Look at what flights and times suit us.... We use skyscanner but there are other comparison sites. We Select a day/ time where we have several options regarding airport/company

Look for accommodation ...usually airbnb ... book accommodation.

Wait and shop around for best price deal on the flight

which we normally leave quite late.

transfers...we just get on the bus. They are really easy to use , fast and inexpensive. They will beat a coach transfer hands down.

Final tip: Do not disregard Jet2 and to a lesser degree Tui. They LOOK way more expensive than other airlines but include 10Kg per person. For the same luggage with other airlines this will knock you back over £100 extra per couple.

(and that will teach me to proof read before posting....doh!)
