We vastly prefer Venus, excellent restaurant, better jacuzzi, bigger pool and decent wine list. The happy hour cocktails are legendary! We have stayed at both and for us there is no comparison.
I'm sure somebody will be along soon to say they prefer La Mirage. It depends what you are looking for? |

At la mirage now it's nice rooms are great and a nice atmosphere a couple of hot tubs, and 2 play rooms, also nice bar area,so all in all its good, we will be at venus star from 18th this is our usual place to visit always great fun and a more younger fun vibe but both are good would say mirage a bit more chilled and relaxed and venus more full on if you want it. |

Having been to both we prefer Venus, like the layout better and a decent vibe. Used to go on bbq days though but see they have changed the schedule and there is something on every day. Will be going at least once between Xmas and Nye.

The new days at Venus are a little different.
Paella and sangria is at the restaurant.
Pizza day was just order from the restaurant as normal.
Pole dancing show was impressive but not engaging really.
The massage/spa day was not appealing in 35 degrees!
The barbecue was always the best day , shame it has stopped!
We will be doing a day visit between Xmas and new year( not staying this time unfortunately), possibly the foam party?? |

Venus is good until you have a problem then the owner turns on you we got told to take a downgrade or leave we left and will never return. We have also stayed at Mirage and have never had a problem so mirage for us |

We stay at both. Venus for the day time vibe, mirage for the evening/night time. Both are good but if we could only stay at one it would be mirage, you can always visit Venus on a day pass anyway |

"For a day visit, go to Venus because it's more like a club.
To stay, go to La Mirage, because it's more friendly and chilled."
We found quite the opposite. Venus has always been friendly and open, with both residents and visitors interacting well. La Mirage was not. |

We have only visited on 3 occasions as day visits to Venus got to admit we had unexpected fun with other couples every visit, absolutely amazing place
We haven’t tried Mirage as yet
We are looking at booking a cheap package holiday in April to greenfields for 14 days and stay at Venus for 7 days in the middle
Unsure if that’s a good idea or not
Any advice |

Been to both and both are great. Venus more full on, especially on what was BBQ days. Mirage more intimate whereas Venus more spaced out. Both need to up their game in the evenings to ensure residents hang about longer.
Spice in Lanzarote had James the entertainer and he was fantastic during the day and at night with games and fun. |

Well any place depends very much on who's there that week, and that is doubly true for La Mirage because it's smaller. We're you there for the day, or did you stay?
But if Venus works for you, then that's great! |

I don't think that's going to happen, because for many people the whole reason for being in Gran Canaria is the clubs in the evening. |
