We walk from cita to Santa Fe bungalows just before the bridge over the road and it’s a maximum of 15 minutes so allowing crossing the bridge - another ten minutes tops!
Unless you’re a person with shorter than average legs or pissed out of your tits!

Even Google wouldn't claim the average person would walk 2.8 miles in 32 minutes.

According to my Google maps it's 1.367 miles.
Which is a more comfortable stroll at around 3mph rather than your 5.5mph ?

So 25 minutes ish? Not unrealistic to say 32 minutes, as per Google maps. Have walked from Cita area to Mercadona many times and would say 30 minutes+ isn't far off to Nilo. Oh and 6', not a short arse

So yet again those who claim to be victims and who have us blocked, jump in, unsolicited, on an independent post and contradict Google and personal experience of walking between 2 areas, for the sole purpose of???
Sure isn't there a free shuttle service now on offer between Cita and Nilo, or was that just for effect? |

I fear some are being disingenuous and quoting as the crow flies distance, when as I have previously pointed out, taxis drive past Nilo, due to the carriageway system, to the roundabout and back up GC 500. For anyone confused by the deception |

Chill, you got it wrong
Google maps says 2.2km from the south side of Cita to the front of Nilo.
Work it out walking at 3 mph

No, you specifically stated not to worry when the taxi takes you up an alleyway at the side of Nilo.
Anyway, what does it matter ? |

But just in case it does
"Worth mentioning, some of the better taxi drivers will bring you by a route that avoids travelling to the roundabout and back up the carriageway, shortening the journey. Don't panic if you are brought along the back streets and up an alley, they're actually doing you a favour. It's just a very short walk along the front of Nilo to the entrance
First time it happened to us(when it was still Eternity) I thought we were being held up, or worse lol" |

For what it's worth, the majority of taxis WILL take you the longer route. Opportunistic use of advice given IF taken by an alternative route.
Is there no end to the cheerleading for their good friends?
Anyone taken a taxi recently in a position to confirm route and cost from Cita to No-go, I mean Nilo?
Kind of irrelevant given the offer of a free shuttle, or was that not as advertised? |

I don't know what you're talking about and that's because I think you don't know what you're talking about. There is a planned once only gathering at the cita with a plan to proceed on to Nilo. It makes sense, rather for everyone to go in separate taxis to the same destination to go in one taxi or hire vehicle. So I really don't know what you're going on about.
If one walks then using a vehicle route with one way streets is disingenuous.

So let me correct you on something. I have two businesses. One is an engineering business that does very well for itself. It covers all my personal expenses plus all of Eden_GC expenses if need be. We, the owners have never taken a cent out of the club and plough everything the club makes back into the club to improve our customer experience. While it is a business and supports our staff financially, we as the owners see it more as a hobby. If we have a busy night we are happy because we can improve the club and if we have a quiet night we are happy to get an early night's sleep. The dog eat dog scenario only exists in your mind.
We measure success by the degree to which we achieve our goals. Our goal for Eden_GC is to connect with our customers. To provide them with an environment where they can connect with each other and enjoy their swinging experience. How is this measured? By the number of people who have a good night. By the percentage of people who end up in our play areas. By the number of people who write us reviews and verifications and the content of that feedback. Yes we have parties. Some of them take us to capacity. But those are not our favourite nights. We are too busy running around making sure things run smoothly and can't connect with people. Even at Eden_GC those hectic bust nights result in not much play.
You talk of swinging from a business viewpoint. Strang1ehold, duopoly, inroads... maybe for you swinging is a commercial endeavour but for us it's about people. We aren't worried about foot traffic or volumes or turnover.
You've got it all wrong. |

During the heatwave we sold so much water it didn't have time to get cold in our fridges and needed to be served with ice. Although we bought 10 bags of ice we ran out. We went next door to Moonlight Dreams and Giuseppe gave us 5 bags of ice and refused to take payment. That's our "competition". One of the beautiful souls you will meet in the world of swinging.
I leave you with one of our recent verifications that touched us deeply. This guy came to us for the first time this week. We didn't know him before that....
"I have to say, this club has left an indelible mark on my nightlife experience! It's not just me; the club has been recommended to me by different friends separately, and now I know why. From the moment I walked in, I felt like I had found my new home away from home. The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and welcoming, a great difference from other clubs I've been to. The attention to detail in the club's facilities is outstanding, and you can tell that a lot of thought went into its realization. It's truly a cut above the rest. But what truly sets this place apart is the owners, Cath and Conrad, and their incredible team. They are not just running a club; they are creating an experience. You can feel their warmth and genuine care, and it's evident that they are truly passionate about what they're doing. It's hard to compare this club to any others I've been to. It's a league of its own, and I can't recommend it enough. If you want an unforgettable night filled with positivity and euphoria, this is the place to be!"

Thank you for taking the time to post this.
We often say that swingers are a special kind of people. 99.9% of the people we meet in the world of swinging are lovely and enrich our lives. We feel we are very fortunate in that.
The love we feel from our customers keeps us going and motivates us, especially when those who feel threatened by us become the 0.1% who aren't so lovely.
Your kindness and respect means the world to us after all the effort we have put in. Bless ya! |

Hi everyone, Ms Eden_GC here
We pride ourselves on our customer service at Eden_GC
When you visit us and when you want to leave I will personally call you a taxi and walk you out to it and wait with you (lots of our veris and Club Reviews reflect this)
If you can't find us, send a message and I will reply and send a screenshot of our location
Getting a taxi to us please say to the driver 'Centro Commercial Nilo' (pronounced Neelo) and you will be brought to the front
We are the 2nd premises on the right, our lights are blue and we have a sign on the wall and a moveable sign outside
Obviously going somewhere new can be a bit daunting but we will look after you when you arrive and leave
We are trying to make PDI a better place and adding more choice and fun for people when they come over here
This has been seen as something dishonest and wanting to put other bars and clubs out of business but this is not the case at all
We believe customer service is key and want guests to have a good time when they come to PDI, whether this is us, Cita, La Sandia, the beach etc etc after all we all want to have fun and get the best for our hard earned money
Opinions on us and our club are part and parcel of having a business and we will take them on board and try to fix anything we need to fix, no-one is perfect after all
Anyway, I just wanted to come on the thread and add MY 2 cents and thoughts on the club and business myself and Mr Eden_GC have ploughed everything (and still do) into this adventure
Thank you |

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, the word we used to describe Eden in our reviews is 'faultless'. Is there a negative interpretation of that word that I don't know about? Can't be any clearer than that and we also have and will continue to suggest anyone that contacts us and who we feel it would suit, to give it a go.
Do we have issues surrounding certain parts of it, not really, most things are magnified beyond recognition by constant, irrelevant and often inaccurate challenges to posts, usually by one or two profiles and it's become tiresome.
We know we wouldn't be welcome, so we won't plan on going back, which is a pity but that's life |

Perhaps if people use Google correctly, they'll see, as originally quoted, fastest route by car, is indeed given as 4.4km, or 2.75 miles I think that works out at. The fastest route walking, again as quoted, is indeed given as 32 minutes, a distance of 2.2km, or around 1.37 miles. Nowhere did I say anyone should walk the route that cars are forced to take?
In their haste to yet again harass and harangue every comment we make, they missed some very pertinent facts. Is there a shorter route some taxis MIGHT take, yes but how many will? We asked if anyone who had taken a taxi recently could confirm which route had been used. Certainly on the last occasion the taxi drove past Nilo, on the other side of the carriageway, to the roundabout and back up to the front of it.
Hope that cleared up the confusion and will prevent a costly challenge of Google Maps |

Can we stop with sniping please, it's becoming boring.
Going back to the original post, I just checked Google it gives 3 different routes for walking varying from 27 minutes to 32 minutes. So I suppose everybody is correct.
We have been using cabs to go to the Nilo Centre for over 6 years, we have only been taken the long way once.

That was actually the point, as elsewhere someone claimed it was a gentle 20 minute stroll, which it isn't. We like to visit the Mercadona and Shanghai shop, so have walked that way often.

To add to the boring discussion, it usually takes us 20 minutes with my little legs in flip flops but longer if I decide to keep my heels on.
Just discussed this with the other half and he said it all depends which side of the Cita you start from. Our end is quicker but if you start out the opposite side it could take up to 10 minutes longer.. so everybody is correct! xx |

Still going, my oh my.
According to google maps there is no need to walk along the gc500 (perhaps you can perhaps you can't) as there is a bridge and that route is 1.7 miles and is the suggested route when set to walking and was in fact the very route we used to walk from Anamar Suites. That equates to around 2.2km from Cita as was suggested.
My brother in law is a cabbie and says he can recognise the gullible passengers and would travel the "scenic" route of it's a quiet evening. |

"So there's the lie exposed, narcissism 101 and hounding us on an unrelated and non specific thread. It really is ALL about you and sounding quite desperate now, not my words but others.
Never went to Eternity but it was a shithole.
We'll arrange a shuttle...but it's for one night only.
The normal taxi route to Nilo has been magically halved.
Cita ISN'T the nucleus of the Swinging scene in PDI and if you frequent the basement you are paying for Sex or seeking drugs.
We support ALL venues but are happy to take up the slack when one closes.
You can certainly fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time BUT....oh well, I'm sure you know the rest.
At least your competitors trust you
Happy Sunday, so busy you're closed "
Wow a liar and a narcissist. I see we have moved on from kindergarten "my friend says horrible things about you" to straight out name calling.
As I've said before, the sure sign of a weak argument is when you have to put words in people's mouths.

Someone once said our regular posting on fab makes us look desperate. It's the same person who now makes regular posts on fab for other establishments.
We never went to Eternity but if it was so fantastic why did it go bankrupt? When we took over the local it wasn't fit for purpose. Were you there then. No. Did you see it then? No. But you know better.
We are allowed to organise group transport for our friends if we want to. We don't need your permission. You make something kind and helpful seem dark and sinister? Why?
We quoted the distance at 2.3km. If it's been magically halved then then that would make the normal taxi route 4.6km. Who's trying to fool who?
If you want to maintain there is no sex for sale in the basement of the Cita and that all the scantily dressed women outside are swingers then you are intitled to your opinion. Please quote where I said everyone goes to Cita for pay sex and (the other thing that only you can get away with saying)
We don't support ALL the venues. We support venues who want to work together with us. I don't know what you mean by taking up slack when one closes. Perhaps you can elaborate? We do provide a swingers guide to PDI which informs people about ALL the clubs and bars in PDI. It's written by a third party. By the way thanks to Justusboth2013 for your lovely verification.
Yes we are closed on Sundays and Wednesdays. We are in a fortunate position to be able to afford to do so. Yes we had a busy October thank you very much. Also a fantastic summer which afforded us August off.
And yes we do post on a swinging forum that is based in Spain. We are swingers and also club owners and also live here. We usually only post information about our club to save us answering loads of messages. We aren't a couple living over a thousand miles away seeking attention by posting frenetically about a place we've swore never to return to. Of late we have had to respond to a series of untruths which appear to just be bait to draw us into tedious frivolous arguments.

"During the heatwave we sold so much water it didn't have time to get cold in our fridges and needed to be served with ice.
Like so many, including the duplicated one's, could have been written by your.......nope, won't even say it "
Again, I don't even know what you're trying to accuse us of. What duplications? Huh? |

The Nilo Centre is on Av. de Moya. If you carry on it becomes Av. de la Union Europea. The route is called GC500. This means that Nilo is located on the GC500. |

Yes we had people telling us that we were only in GC on holiday and using business purposes as an excuse. At the time we had not secured the locale and had our hands tied behind our backs because we couldn't discuss what we were doing.
If you want to dredge that whole argument up and say we weren't on business securing Eden_GC then that is your right.
We aren't going to report you. Telling us we get personal and then calling us horrible people is an amusing irony. Thanks for the laugh.
Your opinion of us is water off a ducks back. We have thousands of people who have met us and think the opposite and hundreds who have taken the time to put it in writing. We appreciate 99.9% of lovely people in swinging and accept that the 0.1% of haters is still a good ratio.
Have a lovely week. |

"2.75 miles by car, or 32 minute walk. Verified by Google Maps.
In case anyone wondered " . It just depends on how quick you walk. Ordnance survey works on the rule of 3 miles per hour. Obviously it depends on fitness or how eager you are to get from A to B |

That was lucky, getting to a Club without knowing where it is and not seeing the 4' tall signs above it, or at the entrance, saying CC NILO, or the graphics of the Club immediately beside it
Must have been a good night lol but it is a lovely club |

The main "strip" of PDI is a dual carriageway named Av. de Tirajana. Whereas Cita Center is off a roundabout on the south side of strip, Nilo is off a roundabout on the North side of the strip.
Town by the locals here is considered the Mercurio center which is two towers to the North of the strip and contains things like the post office, two banks and most of the non-tourist businesses such as accountants etc. It's 800 meters from us.
Many of the good value hotels such as Eugenie Victoria, Gran Canaria Princess, RIU Papayas and Servatur Waikiki are basically a walk across the bridge. Nilo is also a short walk from Greenfield if you use the shortcut onto the GC 500. |

Just a tip to those using taxis in PDI....
Most taxis here have a number on the side. It's worth taking note of in case you leave something behind in the taxi, or you feel the taxi driver misbehaved. It also helps when you call a taxi and someone else says it's theirs. |

For clarity and to aid newcomers, who may be confused, San Fernando is not IN Playa del Ingles but adjacent to it. Anyone who has travelled in from the airport will know that road signage confirm this.
A quick check of Google maps, which I know confuse some people and Google also confirm it. Multiple GC information and tourism websites state, San Fernando is 'near to' or 'within walking distance', or even 'inland from' Playa del Ingles. They are both defined areas of Maspalomas, hence the huge Maspalomas sign at the entrance to Annexo 1.
Liken it to whether Old Trafford football ground is actually in Manchester, or more technically correct, in Salford. |

Once again, locals think of the boundary between Playa del Ingles and San Fernando as the GC500 and since we are on the GC500 we are on that boundary by the distance of half the width of the road. In a recent discussion with Groupo Bersol it transpired that the bridge is also part of Nilo and so using the local definition of where Nilo is would have it straddling the two. We have said we are in San Fernando because we never thought it would result in a childish, pedantic argument.
If you wish to use Google maps as a reference the the area South of GC1 and east of Av. de Tirajana is Playa del Ingles and puts Nilo well within those boundaries.
This is something people can see for themselves if they have Google Maps. |

Compromise:
close to Playa del Ingles...
on the boundary between Playa del Ingles and San Fernando..
on the periphery of Playa del Ingles...

* having discussed things with MsSouth, we will no longer be responding to the often wild and inaccurate comments, posted by profiles that have us blocked, or in the past have been abusive towards us. Neither will we post on threads they start as OP and I hope they agree to do likewise.
We don't have any couples blocked, why would we?
I now believe it to be the case, that if any profile has another profile blocked and uses the forum to communicate, or directs posts towards them, it breaches forum rules. I was unaware of this, not having blocked any of the regular forum contributors.
Anyhow, a funny thing happened on the way to the forum today.... |

Glad we got to the rules:
Don't be personal
Personal attacks against other site users aren't allowed, even if you don't name them. If you've got a problem with someone on the site, block them. If you've got a problem with what someone writes on the forum just skip over their messages or report to admin if you think they need to take action. |
