We're in PDI for the first time, and indeed our first ever sexy holiday. We've had lots of advice and recommendations for places to try from friends who've been before, people we've met around the poolside and an excellent guide written by _ustusboth2013.

You can find a copy of it on the edenswingersclub website. There a places in it that they like and we weren't so keen on, and some places we really liked that aren't mentioned but still, it's a great reference tool and essential reading in our view. At least to get you started and pic your own favourites..

We'll put stuff in here as we think of it and feel free to share your own experience and tell us your favourites.

Here goes.. Xx

For accommodation we had originally planned to book an Airbnb, conscious of budget and generally find them pretty decent. Then plan a few day trips to Venus Star for some nudey sunbathing, etc.

After chatting to some really experienced swingy friends of ours they said, we tried that once and had terrible FoMo. So ever since they just stay at Venus.

Because of changed flights we ended up in an Airbnb for the first day which was really nice, clean, spacious, and a lovely pool we had access to for the afternoon. Then day two, down the hill to Venus Star for the rest of our holiday. We have not regretted that decision.

We spend the day lazing around the pool naked, something you get used to really quickly if you've not tried it before. Occasionally cool off in the pool or go get your kidneys pummbled in the large jacuzzi. Maybe pop out for a spot of lunch or if not order a club sandwich or pizza delivered to out sunlounger. Not haut cuisine but nice enough. Then wait for the happy hour bell to sound around 5pm (it varies) and get slightly sozzled watching the occasion play that happens around the pool side. A group of 6 beautiful nut brown Germans played just behind us which was a sight to behold They even invited us to join them after Mrs E made eye contact with them. We declined.. Our new friends had come in for the day and had just joined us. But it's a lovely thing to just watch and feel the tingles

The rooms are lovely and the staff chilled out and friendly. We have no idea what the other resorts and accommodation are like to can't compare, but we'll be coming back here next time for sure and we suspect some of our friends may have experienced a bit of that FoMo after visiting for the day x

Early evenings out for sundowners and something to eat has been all about Meloneras. It's the part of town with the Faro lighthouse, closest to the nudey beach and a short taxi ride from Venus Star. We love it down there. Swanky hotels, restaurants and bars line the promenade.. We walked through the Lopesan Cost Meloneras and had our first twinge of FoMo. It's amazingly swanky full of beautiful people but no nudey sunbathing and Mrs E has just looked up the prices. £295 a night in May so, err, not for us Worth a stroll through, just to see how the other half live!

Our favourite spot has been Cafe del Mar. It gets busy at the weekend so we've booked a table for Sunday before we fly home on Monday. The rest of the time we've just rocked up and they've found space for us. Excellent cocktails, live music and the sea as a backdrop.. What's not to like?

Foodwise we've tried a couple of the places on the front. All pretty decent and we had an awesome steak at El Churrasco Steakhouse which is just next door to Cafe Mambo.

"El Churrasco Steakhouse which is just next door to Cafe Mambo. "

Not café Mambo.. I mean Cafe del Mar.

The other place we visited a couple of times was Pinguino Soul for a plate of Calamari and a couple of beers. Very nice.

We haven't mentioned the nudey beach for the simple reason we haven't got round to visiting it/them. Friends of ours visited the area around Kiosk No7 (the Meloneras end) but it was a windy day and found themselves shotblasted by the sand

Our other friends arranged to meet a couple near Kiosk No3 - also a nudey beach it seems (the PDI end) but after a long treck through the dunes and a no show, haven't been back.

PS if you fund yourself down the Kiosk 3 / PDI end, the Tipsy Hammock is well worth a visit for drinks. Not so much for food.

No worries. Yep, Just going to empty "day trips" out of our heads and then move on to bars and Obviously worth bearing in mind this is all very subjective and different people have different experiences, with different people, on different nights of the week and different times of the year. X

So to get around we hired a car. Most people don't seem to bother and we can see why.. You can get around pretty easily by taxi.

But still, we did. We've saved a few quid on airport transfers, been able to nip to the shops when we need to and we've managed a couple of day trips which have been nice. On street parking can be tricky but we've been lucky to have a spot that comes with our Venus Star stay.

Day trips we've been to Port de Morgan which was lovely and found a nice tapas bar overlooking the harbour. Can't remember what it was called but we avoided the places that try and drag you in and had a fairly short menu which is always a good sign I reckon..

As I type this we're heading back from Tera which is also lovely. Much greener than PDI/Meloneras and slightly cooler. We had a fabulous meal at a place called Restaurante el encuentro. It was packed with locals, foods was lovely and reasonably priced.

And now in to sexy bars and clubs

So there are three main areas where the sexy stuff goes on. All weirdly in shopping centres. Most are in Cita itself or just next to it. There's a thriving gay scene at another shopping centre called Yumbo, plus it's got a really good vibe so we're heading back there this evening to meet friends for drinks (before heading back to Cita later). There's also one or two clubs at Nilo centre.

Popular meeting places for Swingers are Comeback bar (Cita) and the Black Bulldog bar (also Cita). We visited comeback 2 or 3 times and it's nice. We visited BB last night and it's another level.. Absolutely nuts! Tiny place, pumping sounds, scantily clad girls dancing around a pole, everyone beaming from ear to ear. It all got a bit much after a while so we ventured off to the clubs after our first drink.

We've read negative reports about BB, mainly people being turned away, but definitely give it a try. If they're too busy to let you in, Comeback bar is just around the corner and also fun.. But do try again another night. If you manage to get in you will have a great time!

Forgot to mention Route 69 which is near Cita just off a sidestreet. We haven't made it there but friends of ours had a few visits and really liked it. They let them take over the sound system so that could have a boovy to their own playlist

*boogy. Bloody predictive text

One thing that's wot great but worth noting. On a night out, the girls went out in their sexy party dressses. A bit short but not too slutty.. you'd think. Actually you get quite a few disapproving looks from the locals and the odd rude comment. If that would upset you, we'd suggest dressing fairly conservatively to go out and change into something a bit more fruity when you are at the club. Most have lockers.

Oh, and Cita is large and a bit of Rabbit Warren.. Refer to _ustusboth2013 's guide for really good directions.

OK, so on to the clubs.. And bear in mind, this is just our experience.. Other views are available

Our first venture out was a Monday night, so likely to be quiet. After checking the forums we asked "where's going to good/busy", the consensus seemed to be Eden (Nilo). We got a Taxi there and were a bit disappointed is all we're going to say Our party seemed to be the only ones there. No idea what happened to all the people in the forums who said they were going, and we were too far from the other clubs to just leave and try another one next door.

If you want to avoid that

1) beware of "ramping" in the forums and

2) go to Cita. There's more clubs there than you can shake a stick at!

We've been slowly working out way through the clubs with free entry to get a feel for them without having to comit.

Fun4all was nice but quiet, so we left.

Peaches & Cream (formerly Gatsbies) we absolutely love and have been there a couple of times and will probably go back again tonight. And that's despite it being a bit quiet on the first night. It's classy, hi end decor, well lit, the music is good, and the smut on the TV screen was really hot! Sensual rather than gory. It's not in the main bit of Cita but only a 2 minute walk round the corner.

Secrets is clearly top dog. It's the biggest. And if you want to go somewhere that's pretty much guaranteed to be busy, then that's Secrets. The place has classy decor, great music and the playrooms are busy and hot. For us there are some buts coming.. One of them a deal breaker. Firstly it's really dark, especially at the back of the bar area and the music is quite loud so it makes it hard to connect with new people..

The biggest problem is the single guys. They circle the bar like Hyenas, generally naked and made the girls feel very uncomfortable. What's really odd is when it comes to enforcing rules like no photos, the security guys are all over it. When it comes to keeping the single guys in check, they take absolutely no notice. There are two main play areas and the one that the single guys are allowed in is like a scene from the day of the wanking dead.

If you leave your wife or girlfriend unattended for even a second they'll have 2 or 3 guys pestering them in seconds. We don't feel safe there.

We haven't tried any of the other clubs in Cita that charge entry and are a but reluctant to in case they're quiet.

Just a quick follow up..

We spent a really chilled out early evening sat outside a Tapas & Cocktails place in Yumbo. It's got a really chilled out vibe over there.. Great for people watching

On the way to Cita, a fairly easy walk from Yumbo, we visited Route69. Another club with free entry and just outside of Cita. It's really nice and the owners are lovely with lots of great ideas. But it was quiet. The curse of the smaller clubs it seems. Having said that our friends earlier in the week spent several evenings there and had a great time.

We ended up back at Peaches and Cream which was much busier and got to try our the playrooms. We absolutely LOVE the big double mattress play area there (and sex swing). Hot as! And that was despite a small run in with a single guy. They don't pester you like in Secrets but this guy ended up in the bed and we were like, who's are these extra hands and sent him on his way. Mrs E spoke to him after.. You need to ask first mate.. We might have said yes

We received a message from some locals abour the single guy problem at Secrets. Their advice.. Just tell them to p155 off and they'll leave you alone. We've not been back to try it but worth a try if you really want to go to a busy club and don't mind the occasional unsolicited grope.

Another good but advice from a Taxi driver when we fancied a dirty burger in the wee hours.. He took us to an area called Kasbah for said dirty burger and kebab Taxi rank is just next to them so easy to get another taxi back.

And if you fancy a day visit to Venus Star (try it and see if you feel the FoMo).. I think it's roughly €40 and you need to bring your passport.

X

Thank you for your regular updates and hope you don't mind us making some comments.

We stay in adult only hotel as fits in with what we want from our regular visits to the island.

We spend a lot of time on the nudist beach in PDI as love to bodyboard.

We hire a car when in resort to explore the west coast and mountains, totally recommend alongside the jeep safari and party catamaran.

It sounds like it's the usual hit or miss on the bars/clubs capacity with Secrets continuing to be the only place to be busy, particularly at weekends we found. No change about the single guys then so will continue to avoid. I hate being followed around in the back area, you feel like they will pounce on you if meet their eyes.

Eden is a good club, which many won't go to for reasons you state. It's worth pointing out that Tommy and Anet from 2x2 MP have now joined the staff, Anet will perform her amazing pole and cage dancing throughout the evening. Tommy who has experience from working in other clubs/bars I believe will be running the club alongside the owners and is the master in making cocktails. They are a great double act not to be missed so would encourage people to try it out alongside the other places.

We are excited to try out Route 69 and Peaches & Cream as not open last November so great to hear your review.

Again thank you for your posts and will watch out got more updates.

Enjoy the rest of your holiday xxx

Thanks for the kind words.

Monday nights are busy nights for us and last Monday ended up being busier than usual. We did have time at the beginning of the evening to chat with Justusboth2013 who put up a status that they were coming and did arrive. It was lovely to read their status the following day to say they had a blast.

In order to cope with our increasing customer base we have increased the number of our staff and now open seven days a week. We are also putting a lot of time and money into the club to improve our customer's experience. We are very positive about the future of our club and the future of swinging in PDI.

Great thread Exploress, we just got home after 10 days at PDI. Our experiences are really quite similar to yours.

We went to Secrets and asked for two glasses of Sangria. That's not included in the price - strange as its about the cheapest drink to make. The barman gaves us two glasses of undrinkable red wine and lemonade instead. We abandoned them on the bar and went into the mixed side, Emmanuel got groped before we'd done 10 paces so we got out and went to the couples area. Everyone's taste is different and it wasn't ours so we left.

We'd been put off going to the Black Bulldog by the messages on the forum so we went to Comeback several times. Great Sangria, rapid service and friendly staff but not really enough customers.

We went to Tantra 3 times, great staff, excellent jacuzzi and sauna, the 20€ entrance fee includes a drink each - any drink you want, not like Secrets! The single men stayed at a respectable distance and didn't follow us.

The real surprise was on our last night. A French couple invited us to the Black Bulldog. You're right Exploress, its on another level! Its like being at Cap, great ambiance and very attractive, well dressed people. A charming girl from Marseille led us to our table, all the staff were dressed in sexy outfits and seemed genuinely interested in their customers.

We'll definitely go back to PDI and I'm sure we'll enjoy it more having learnt a lot this time.

Ah yes Tantra, we nearly made it there but had a read up and got the impression it was more of a "wet" club. So everyone in towels and mainly about the sauna and hot tub?

Mrs E isn't a fan of hot tubs in clubs but many are and it sounds like you had a great time there

A quick update on our last night featuring mostly revisits but all lovely little interludes to conclude our time here..

After our day trip we headed to the PDI side and sat outside the Tipsy Hammock for a couple of beers. Our friends had been but a first visit for us. It didn't disappoint. Lovely and lively vibe to the place. Chilled out and rather beautiful waiting staff. And right there on the beach. Could have happily sat there all afternoon.

In the evening we'd booked a table for food at Cafe del Mar (Meloneras side).. Previously only been there for drinks. Again, it didn't disappoint. It's classy, the entertainment was great (and quite sexy ), and the food was fabulous. After sinking several Negronis and a couple of bottles of wine, the bill nearly had our eye out! But we all agreed, worth the money. This place has a little bit of magic.

And then for our evening entertainment we headed over to the gay centre, Yumbo, and settled in to watch one of the drag acts (first one on the right as you come down the steps from the taxi rank).. Hard to miss.. Mrs E had a quick read up about the various drag acts available and this one had been slated a bit for miming, but OMG what a laugh! The girls/boys were hilarious and all of us were beaming from ear to ear. Definitely give it a try out one night

A pleasure meeting you both Exploress. And a fantastic thread. Lots of effort and well detailed. Hopefully, your useful information doesn’t get taken off the forum.

As mentioned, we do have a guide which we will update shortly. Our guide is impartial and we will speak honestly yet positive of every club.

We, like everyone, do have our favourites but nothing wrong with a subjective view. Ultimately we all arrive at the same conclusion that this resort is a gem and a lot to look forward to.

With our pending revision, we will keep 2x2MP and Studio69 on the list, but update the content as we know T & A, and S & T are firm favourites of many, so they will be delighted to find they are still on the circuit with Eden and the pending opening of De ja vue.

We’ll also add some new stuff, as this holiday, we did a bit less club hopping but a few more vanilla things. The conclusion being there really is something for every one whether a hard core swinger, one that wants to sample or get a feel for the lifestyle, or just dip in and out of the vanilla holiday.

A couple of things I want to share, as I personally and purposely tested, after various comments in the forum.

First, the Black Bulldog. Whilst es corting my friend to the gents. I then left him to do his business whilst I went to see what type of reaction I’d get from the doorman approaching as a single male in a tee, shorts and trainers (granted smart casual ones, not beachwear) at a busy bulldog. Honestly, the chap, a young good looking lad who I spoke to in both English and Spanish was very warm, polite and not intimidating. He wasn’t aggressive, he didn’t push me away and I had a good conversation with him.

The second point is in relation to Secret. As I do know that people have had mixed experiences here. We do not hide the fact that this is our favourite club and has been ever since we set foot through the door many years ago. That said, we know it’s not for everyone and fortunately they do have stiff competition against the ever growing array of fantastic clubs and bars around them. Anyway, we had a fantastic final night here and despite knowing many of the staff here, there are new staff that don’t know us from Adam.

We lost our friends and as we were leaving, I had her dress so wanted to return it. I went to the entrance of the couples area and security pulled me up straight away, despite my innocent attempts of simply returning a lady’s clothing so they didn’t leave the club in underwear.

As I turned and saw J the owner and the doorman could see I had a very good relationship with the owner, he apologised.

I explained there’s no need to apologise as you are doing your job and personally I’m happy that you did pull me up as I didn’t enter with my partner.

It gives me comfort that they are doing their best to police and enforce the rules, though I also appreciate some slip through the net and just that one experience can completely ruin a night.

I’m not saying that any of the past comments from people are unjust and without substance, but wanted to share my personal views from the recent visit.

You need to remember that opinions differ from person to person.

As an example, we love secrets and NEVER had an issue with single guys.

The club has 2 main areas. 1 is for single guys and if you venture into that area then it can be assumed that is what you are looking for. The other area is for couples and is self explanatory.Single guys are not allowed though sometimes an odd one may sneak in.

The OP also had nothing good to say about Eden, but in our opinion it is one of the friendliest, and cleanest clubs in the area and you soon become a friend and not just a punter. It is certainly worth a visit.

It has to be remembered that any club can be pretty quiet on a particular night so worth checking what the theme is on the night.

There are a couple of places we wouldn't go back to that were said to be poor and that is how they turned out to be lol. Thing is, we tried them and made our own mind up.

We all have different tastes so try for yourselves

Yup, we all have different tastes. Go, try them out and judge for yourselves. But personally, with only 7 nights to play with on our first holiday in over 4 years, we would be looking for tips and advice to try and find the best nights we can in the limited precious time we have available.

Based on our own personal experience our advice would be head to Cita first, one taxi ride & multiple clubs to choose from. Try a club with free entry, and if empty try another. And definitely try Secret, it's the most likely to be busy, but be on your wits. Like I said, other opinions are available.

And to clarify the single guy issue. That was our experience and we've received a few DMs sharing the same experience.. That is, too many single guys, that are groping customers and behaving in a predatory way and no one is stopping them. The poor lighting in the back bar areas makes it feel unsafe. The bar side play areas are unusable unless single guys are your thing (which obviously they are for some). Just go to the couples only area to play? OK, that's fine and its really nice in there. BUT the bar, the dance floor, the loos, the lockers, the exit.. they are all in the bit single guys are allowed and you can't get away from them.

To solve a problem, you first have to accept that you have one.. We also saw them turn away single guys so completely accept they do control the numbers. But that number needs to be lower. And they need police their behavior MUCH more strictly. If they did that, Secret would be hands down winner and we'd probably have gone their every night. I even wanted to give it one more try but the girls were adamant.. No way. Don't feel safe.

For us secrets has far too many single guys.

The issue isn’t the couples area- that generally was as it should be with couples and group play happening.

The single guys are very predatory in the bar area, I went to the toilet and left H with some of our friends, she sat down only about 6 feet from them and within seconds she had 3 men around who were touching her. One of our friends noticed and had to come over and tell them to piss off.

The lighting is very poor especially in the play area that single guys are allowed, with one area in almost complete darkness, they need to have more security stationed in this area.

Having said all the above... it is the busiest of the clubs and has large, quality play areas. We just don’t feel they control the number of singles guys allowed in.

This is our opinion but everyone is different so do give it a try for yourself.

Great thread. We’ve visited Secret every year for the last decade or so and never had an issue either in the couples or the singles areas. The single guys are respectful and take no for an answer. Yes the odd single gets into the couples area but not enough to worry us. Probably the best club however having visited Tantra we think this may well change in 2023. We’ve never had an issue getting into / enjoying Bulldog - it’s a super fun bar and a nice change from Comeback. Can’t wait to try the new venues in October - PDI going from strength to strength

"A pleasure meeting you both Exploress.

I’m not saying that any of the past comments from people are unjust and without substance, but wanted to share my personal views from the recent visit."

We really look forward to your updated Swingers Guide to PDI and are sure that it will be just as well written, unbiased and free of malice.

Thanks for the great status you put up on Tuesday and hope you didn't feel too lonely on Couples Night with yourselves and OP being the only ones there

We thought tantra was a really nice club, entry was a bit steep but did come with drinks so not too bad , was quiet the night we were in (Wednesday , couples night ) but planning to try again it was spotless and really nice set up . Peaches and cream and route69 will be visited also this time

"

Our first venture out was a Monday night, so likely to be quiet. After checking the forums we asked "where's going to good/busy", the consensus seemed to be Eden (Nilo). We got a Taxi there and were a bit disappointed is all we're going to say Our party seemed to be the only ones there. No idea what happened to all the people in the forums who said they were going, and we were too far from the other clubs to just leave and try another one next door.

"

What happened to all the people who said they were going? Um. They came to Eden. Two of the couples have left verifications and one of the couples left a status. That's three couples we can prove were there.

The club next door to us is closed on a Monday night but open Wednesday through Sunday.

The remainder of clubs in PDI are within a 5 minute and ~4€ taxi ride away. But. On a Monday night:

2x2 is closed

Moonlight Dreams is closed

Fun4All is closed

Lemur is closed

Before Bar is closed

Route69 is closed

Tantra has a bi night (But has a hot tub and a sauna. People might wear towels )

This leaves you Secret which you didn't seem to like and Peaches and Cream. We don't know a lot about Peaches and Cream but our customers tell us they tried to have a couples night on a Monday which we thought was great since couples would have more choice, but then we sadly heard that they had stopped with the couples night. OP maybe since they are the only club you've had a good word to say about, maybe you can fill us in?

Our advice would be to try as many places as possible especially if they are free to get in that way you grab a drink hail a cab and move on if it’s not for you. that’s the beauty of pdi something for everyone. We bloody love everywhere though. If only pdi could take on a bit of vegas so we could get an IV and sit in an oxygen tent to keep up with the late nights x

Our club is not for everyone and it would seem that apart from one club on this island none are for you.

The number of people in a club is objective (measurable) and not subjective and therefore not a matter of opinion.

For someone who didn't have anything more to say you sure said a lot. Maybe you can explain what "ramping" is?

We do know what "steering" is. It's when someone bigs up their favourite club and badmouths the others to try and get more people to come to them, under the guise of being informative.

You have titled this thread "Beginner's Guide to PDI". Perhaps it's a beginner's take on the island, but so far as accuracy and impartiality goes we feel it's far from helpful.

One thing you do have right is that are a lot of clubs are quieter than you'd expect for this time of year. This is because a whole spate of new venues have opened up without there being a market for them. This has spread the customers out thinly over more venues. The only places that are busy are those also supported by non-swingers. Rather than be negative about this, we are grateful that these new venues are top class and given time will bring even more people to PDI.

The only way to improve the swinger to club ratio is to get more swingers to visit PDI and we aren't going to achieve that by bickering and badmouthing each other.

We arrived back fro PDI a few weeks ago. We’d already book a return journey before we’d left. We visited a few bars and club and generally really enjoyed the experience.

The comeback bar had a really good atmosphere, the staff were lovely and the bar was spotless. We found it difficult to connect with out couples there but we think that was down to us being a little reserved rather that anything else.

After comeback we went to fun4all. We thought it was a nice mix between bar and club with a couple of playrooms. The single males were okay, not too intruding but always hovering. There was a minimum spend of €30.

The following night we went to the before bar. We found it lovely and welcoming. The owner Elena was great. We chatted to a few couples, had a couple of drinks and then went down to Lemur. Lemur was free entry. It was quiet so we had one drink and left.

We the went to secret. It was €20 in with a free drink each. The place was very busy and very dark. We found it quite intimidating. Far too many single males doing constant laps of the bar. We drank our drink and left. It was a Saturday night so we may try it again on a quieter night next time.

Our comments should be taken bearing in mind we’re newbies. We actually hadn’t even signed up to Fab when we were in PDI.

Next time we’re looking forward to visiting

Eden

Black bulldog

Peaches and Cream

And Route 69

As well as returning to all the bars/clubs already visited.

Yes, you have possibly meant Secrets or Tantra. Both have min entrance of 20 or 30 with 2 or 4 drinks included.

Our two favourite clubs were definitely Secret and Tantra. You do take your life into your own hands venturing into the single guy area in Secret though. S is always game for some fun but we were mobbed in seconds, far too pushy.

Looks like we'll have to schedule a return to GC to sample Peaches & Cream. The reviews sound very tempting

When in the couple area of ‘secrets’ do you need to go to the singles side for drinks and toilets etc. or is it completely separate?

I’m curious whether Mrs Xurious will need to run the gamut when she has to powder her cute little nose or goes to refill our glasses.

Secret is a massive club, the bar area and dance floor, couples play area with multiple rooms and a hot tub and also a mixed area where single guys hang out and they can be approached from the couples only area through bars for a grope etc

In the main dance/ bar area, the bar is an island and mostly the single guys are to the area right of the bar as you enter.

Obviously if you don't want contact with single guys, stay out of the mixed play area and probably away from the area where they hang out at the bar

We've been many many times and Mrs has never been worried about going to the toilets or lockers alone, even when we're in the play area she will go alone for a drink or the toilet.

There are probably pushy guys, we've never ever met any single guy that didn't take no for an answer and if we did I'm positive that the security guy would deal with them appropriately.

Having said that, men pay a large entry fee and after a few drinks they will try their luck but we consider that par for the course and as I said before, a polite NO to an unwanted touch usually elicits a polite sorry and away they go.

Best advice we can give in any sex club is be aware of your surroundings especially one with several hundred people inside.

We absolutely love Secret xx

Having visited many times, the great thing is that no two visits, no two nights are the same.

We’ve been in just about all of the clubs, bars and venues and they are different each time we go.

Sometimes good, sometimes not so.

We’ve been to the Cita on what we would describe as a quiet evening in the swinging bars, and ended up having a blast in some of the ‘vanilla’ bars, especially the German or Dutch bars and had some truly memorable evenings, even tho we all kept our kit on.

We are there again from Friday (La M) and will be at Venus for a few visits as well.

One thing we are sure of is we will have a blast, wherever we go and whoever we happen to meet.

See you there!

"Brilliant thread, what was the dress code into BB?

There are two requirements to ensure entry into the BBB. One of these is that you reserve a table and when you do that it's the perfect time to ask them about their dress code.

For us personally "smart" means:

For men: Shoes. Not trainers. Not sandals. Not loafers. Not bedtime fluffy bunny sandals complete with ears. Trousers. Not jeans. Not shorts even if they cost you a fortune. A button shirt. No T-shirts. No vests no matter how much time you spent at the gym or how great your tan is.

For ladies: No sandals. No trainers. No jeans even if you can make them talk. No T-Shirt even if it's so tight that no one else can breathe properly.

This isn't BBB policy. Just what we consider to be smart. If you have a medical reason why you can't dress smartly then the owners are lovely reasonable people and you can discus this with them when you make your reservation.

Yes you might get in without a reservation but that will depend on how busy they are.

If you make a reservation and observe the dress code there is no uncertainty.

There is only uncertainty if you don't make a reservation and expect to be given a table that has been reserved by someone else.

There is an entire thread dedicated to people not being allowed into BBB. People claiming to have been discriminated against because of age, looks or nationality. None of them have said they made a reservation first.

It's two requirements. Simple requirements. Reasonable requirements. The same equirements which almost go without saying at any upper class establishment in the UK.

Don’t think they’re overly strict - if we see it’s v v busy we walk on to Comeback. If not we head in. Couldn’t be arsed with having to reserve a table in a bar and surprised it’s a “thing”. What if someone reserves a table and doesn’t turn up? That’s maybe an hour’s worth of drink and goodwill lost from other punters. The tables will fill up anyway - why would you allow folk to reserve ? Don’t see the business thinking in adopting such a practice.

Well the main complaint is the uncertainty of whether you will be allowed in or not, and reserving a table removes that problem. A simple solution to a simple problem.

If you couldn't bothered to make a reservation, then you may find your place taken by someone who could be bothered.

From what I have heard, sometimes guests are offered a table until the people who have reserved arrive. Otherwise, we would imagine that the reservation of tables works the same as it all over the world where it is accepted practice.

We have nights where we have a guest list and it is necessary to book a place. As you have correctly pointed out, some people are no shows. So now are talking about manners and common decency. Of course people are on holiday and it's an intention not a contract. Things happen. Plans change. But then it's only common courtesy to let people know you aren't coming. Some people couldn't be bothered to do this and find themselves struggling to get on the list next time around. Fab has a great private notes feature

"Wow they sound so strict these days

We have never had a problem getting in there but just don’t bother any more because of all this uncertainty about it every holiday

We’re of the same opinion when it comes to pubs/bars for a drink. We’re not really into booking. The same goes for restaurants (though appreciate they do get busy). When we’re on holiday, we simply turn up. We’re conscious of the risks of doing this with some places but we accept this on the basis there’s so much choice within short proximity.

We’ve been to Marco Polo for a steak and when it’s busy they’ve told us off for not booking (“you are regulars. You should know better” then find us a table). Light hearted of course but we accept this.

The same with BB. If it’s packed then there’s plenty more places to go to within a short distance. And from a swinging perspective, you’ll continue your walk to the soon opening de ja vue, round the corner to Comeback, or a bit further to Before. Alternatively, down to the basement where we’ve never heard of anyone being turned away.

What you say _-4pleasure exactly happened when we had our only refusal. We were on a Cita bar crawl and there were circa 10 of us. We arrived around 9/9:30ish and there were a load of empty tables. They turned the group down stating the tables had been booked. We learnt from others that on this night, the tables didn’t even get filled, so some business lost.

I’m sure they accept this with their business model, but I hazard a guess that they’re not too concerned with any business lost from fab punters, as they have a huge following from another site.

I think Eden put it perfect. The known vs the unknown and I think by now, the fab forum PDIers should be under no illusion.

Option 1: turn up the night before, book a table for the following day. Confirm dress code. = Guaranteed Entry

Option 2: rock up on the night donning your holiday wear. = Not Guaranteed Entry

We accept this and always go for Option 2.

Anyone following our choice, please note that this is the same person who packs his suitcase five minutes before we have to leave the hotel! I live life on the edge!

"if you are hedging bets, then the momentum tends to lean to Venus. €35 for a day pass I believe. "

I think our friends paid €39 but it might have been a bit more because they had pole dancers entertaining us? It's in that ball-park.

The Black Bulldog thing.. We just stuck out head in on the off chance and got in but were happy to walk on a bit further if it was a no. We were all fairly smartly dressed ready for a club night and the table they sat us at was reserved so I guess we might have been turfed off if and when they turned up?

Some friends of ours are still out there and tried Eden.. Said it was OK and liked that it has lots of playrooms. I think they're off to Tantra tonight so we can't wait to hear what they think of that place x

Good call €35 euros for a day pass, but €39 on Thursday and Saturday when they have a foam party/pole dancer. If I’m not mistaken BBQ is now on a Saturday and I think it’s €85 according to a German couple we met last week.

Not in restaurant or in/at your bungalow.

You are at the pool and sunbed areas.

In the past we have had 3 day visits to venues star so can’t really comment on

Mirage

We found it a lovely place to visit and a real eye opener

We felt relaxed straight away

No body judges what you look like

Everyone friendly

Just a lovely area with a restaurant

Large pool and bar

Lots of sun beds

You will be expected to completely strip naked in the locker room

As no clothes aloud around the pool

It also has a very large hot tub that holds around 40 people

With a large open play room at the side

With dentists chairs large round beds ect

We paid around €89 on a tapas and bbq day but food and bar drinks included

A couple of weeks ago we went mid week on a normal day that cost €39 for both of us

Best to get there just before 12 noon

Opening at 12 till 8pm for day visitors

You will definitely need both your passports for entry

It’s classed as an hotel so law for entry

It even had a large foam party on our last visit

We have had fun with other guests every time we have visited

It’s a real eye opener like I say

People just having sex on the sun beds

I think after a couple of visits it becomes the norm haha

B&K x

Handy to have a towel to sit on or, for the ladies, a sexy wrap around for when you are eating in the restaurant but that’s optional. Everywhere else is your birthday suit!

This may not be the case. We have seen someone being told it only applies after the first visit as they then have it on record.

Might have just been that staff member being over cautious. Better to check first.

Just an update for all you PDIers. Revision 7 of the PDI 101 guide has recently been completed.

It does include the places that weren’t mentioned, as Revision 6 was September 22 and the new venues opened in 2023.

Just to emphasise, this is a positive and impartial view of the PDI landscape. Yes like everyone, we do have our favourite places but hopefully the guide gives you a head start.

Eden GC have been most kind to offer a platform for the guide and it will be published soon.

In the meantime, if anyone wants a copy of the latest version, happy to share a link. Just send us a pm.

We recently returned from PDI and made sure we visited Route 69 and Peaches & Cream. Both are free to enter, P&C charge single guys.

We loved them both, R69 is a meeting point, friendly owners, play areas, dance area, pole, great music. Brilliant place. Totally recommend, great ambience and decor.

P&C again friendly staff, dance area and pole with great music, great tastefully done play areas. Very classy and stylish and the unisex rest room, wow.

We fell in love with them both so now part of our pub/club crawl.

Eden grows from strength to strength with a few little changes with pole for visitors and new resident pole dancer. Very clean and stylish. Great jacuzzi. Another one on our list to visit regularly.

We popped into 2x2 Club to say hello to Tommy and impressed with how clean it was, quite busy with couples and a few single guys around.

We ventured into Cita once in 2 weeks we were there in April. Comeback Bar was busy and lively but music was too loud so difficult to have a conversation with anyone. It lacks intimacy and the personal touch like R69, Eden and P&C in our view.

We went to a private event at Before Bar, great owners, great bar, owners very friendly. It will be on our pub crawl list when we next visit.

You can have a good time outside of Cita guys, give it a go

Can you help with suggestions for places that are cheap or free for the decent single by choice lads who are out there. I don’t mind paying entrance fees and will do to support the clubs but over three weeks and multiple visits to what could be either empty clubs at times or as some posters suggest gangs of wanking hyenas!!! Omg I do hope not. Thanks.

You’ll be ok in most places bud to be fair. From a pub/bar/meeting point of view, you have Before, Comeback, De ja vue (opening soon), Route 69 and Klamottw. All of these will welcome you with no charge.

From a club point of view, Eden will host nights that are targeted for the single men and discourage the wanking dead. So if there are couples looking for single men, then they will likely head to these nights and the respectful gents will be welcomed.

In addition, there is Lemur, Fun4All and Peaches & Cream that welcome males with a reasonable entry charge usually including a drink.

There is Secret and Tantra which are a bit more pricier than the others. So my recommendation for you as a single male if you wanted to try these two great clubs is to mix and mingle at the bars and if you manage to connect with a couple or group and they’re heading there, then join them. It’ll be a far more enjoyable experience and give you a bit more VFM than venturing in, paying €50 and standing in a towel with your included spirit and mixer looking like a spare part, in the nicest way, if this makes sense.

Absolutely bud. First and foremost is to remember it’s not a swinging resort but a holiday resort that is liberal and tolerant. And as such, you’re on a holiday that you’ve invested your hard earned pounds into, so definitely go there with B the mindset that you’re on holiday and one of the best places to go as a single to enjoy. Anything that happens is a Brucie bonus.

Have fun.

"Great guide. Will be our second time in PDI in June but we were looking for restaurant recommendations this time "

Thank you for your kind words. There’s obviously a few options in the guide, but take a look at these past threads. There’s some good content:

"Thank you very much. Super reply well put and good advice which I shall take. Happy just to socialise as well doesn’t always have To end in fun! Cheers ??

Absolutely bud. First and foremost is to remember it’s not a swinging resort but a holiday resort that is liberal and tolerant. And as such, you’re on a holiday that you’ve invested your hard earned pounds into, so definitely go there with B the mindset that you’re on holiday and one of the best places to go as a single to enjoy. Anything that happens is a Brucie bonus.

Have fun. "

Great advice

Thanks for this thread. It has been enlightening. As a decent single guy as someone put it I was hoping to find somewhere to meet like minded people. All these comments have been super helpful and I will hopefully see some of you in the area when I am there for a quick jaunt from 21st may.

My advice is to try everywhere as we are all different. What one person may like, the other may not. We've also found in the 7 years visiting the island that our favourite places have changed and no longer fulfill our needs, but then find new places. That's what we love about PDI, always changing. Enjoy xxx

Thanks. I can appreciate that. I am looking forward to finding what works for me.
