We shop around and look at both options. If you’ve got some flexibility with dates you can always find a deal.
We’ve found there’s no real hard and fast rules. Last year a package (jet2) hol to PDI was by far the best value for what and when we wanted. This year we have booked it all individually and got a great deal compared to a package. |

We have been using edreams and skyscanner as compare the market websites for flights. Edreams also allows you to look for accommodation and flights in one search. When placing destinations place where your final location is going to be, so if going PDI place departure Luton arrival MasPalomas( only if looking for both Accom and flights) |

We book accomodation direct, now that's Venus Star but previously have used a lot of the hotels. We find booking direct you are more likely to get an upgrade.
Flights, depends where we are. Tui, British Airways or Swiss are our usual carriers. |

EDREAMS also allows you to buy a "Prime" membership which pays for itself if you travel often.
We pick our times and airports and usually get a flight for under £10. |
