Hi folks. Advice please. We land in a few weeks time and looking at getting a taxi to Costa Calma. Online taxi's are quoting over £300 return. Is that normal? Happy to pay that if that is the going rate but just checking

The local Tiadhe 01 bus service runs about every half an hour from the airport to Costa Calma. May cost you about 5/6 Euros each, but you get some nice views on the way.

Car hire since Covid is considerably more expensive than it used to be......along with everything else!

Can't imagine a taxi would cost that for any trip on the island!

We use payless.es for car hire.

Simple, easy and very rare to encounter a queue at pick-up/drop-off.

We book online and pay cash at pick up.

No hassle with checking car on return. Leave fuel as you found it and chuck the keys back at the desk.

Average cost is +/-€25 per day and great way to see the island.

But as said above, the bus runs regular and is a fine trip down.

Enjoy your stay

To repeat what's been said. Bus is a great option. Slow, but cheapest.

I've used shuttledirect a couple of times . I'd recommend them.

No taxi ride on the island should cost €300. To Costa Calma from Puerto del Rosario should cost between €80 and €100.

If you really don't want to Drive and all the uncertainty over a taxi is confusing, look up resort hoppa Fuerteventura,I doubt this bus company run on the island (usually mainland) but internet should give you different alternatives, if you find one you'll have a return bus booked before you leave the UK so no hassle

Use cheap-taxis, we are paying 140 euros return to Costa calma. They meet you in arrivals with a namecard, smooth and easy and nice cars. Beats hassle of hiring a car and queuing for ages to get it after 4 hour flight

Shuttle direct looks like only option can't find any other transfers apart from private car transfer or taxi both very expensive unless of course you go down the car hire route

We have hired a car from auto risen, always use them in the canaries. Cost is £130 for 10 days, pick up at the airport, and return same place. Never had a problem with auto risen. In 20 years of using them.
