We thought it would be an opportunity for people to reacquaint with old friends and/or meet new, especially if it's your first visit to the island.

It's a long way from anything so be prepared to rent a car or use a lot of busses and taxis unless you want a lazy holiday by the pool and then it's probably lovely. |

We would disagree with that it is close to Venus resort and La mirage is further away from PDI than Koala and the holiday makers there find there way to the clubs etc in the evening very easily

Do you mean it’s close to the old Venus resort? As it’s moved and is no longer a short walk.
@_orneytwo: Sadly, prices have gone up everywhere. We’re paying 50-60% more on the same accommodation to what we were paying last October/November, and even from April-June this year. So I’m not sure what you’re paying or what the increase is.
As others have pointed out, a nice place to stay. However, if swinging is going to be a fixture on your holiday, then it will need to be something you budget for.
Venus is €30 day entry and probably a €4 taxi ride. And the Cita Center is going to be circa €5-6.
For us personally, we enjoyed our holiday over that side and even though we walked quite a bit to the Yumbo and back during the day, we added around €130 of taxi rides to our holiday during the night over 12 days. So whilst not a lot of money, still a significant amount to consider when looking at location and factoring it into accommodation cost.
As we like to be in the clubs at night, and we enjoy the hustle and bustle, and like to be in the thick of it, we prefer to be in the heart of PDI and so we take this into account when we book our holiday. |

As a FYI, we went from the Cita Center to the new Venus Star and back to the Cita Center last week (early hours of Friday morning) and the taxi cost €15 for a round trip. |

As a FYI, we went from the Cita Center to the new Venus Star and back to the Cita Center last week (early hours of Friday morning) and the taxi cost €15 for a round trip."
Worth pointing out that at night you may have difficulty flagging down a taxi in that area, if you aren't staying in Venus and sorting a taxi from there. I remember from the old Venus Resort, it was almost impossible to find a free taxi, as they were all carrying people in both directions. Even at Holiday World you might have had a wait. Recommend anyone staying further out download the Pide Taxi App, invaluable, as there still isn't the same number of taxis around |

Maybe we'll bump into you, we'd love to know how you get on up by holiday world using taxis etc as there is some lovely accomodation but we enjoy being close to the dunes and the nightlife and have discounted it so far. |

It was great to be out last night and see 2x2 MP (not the club), Comeback Bar and Fun4All so busy. Great buzz around the place.
