Anyone know the rough costs to moving to Fuerteventura, I’ll be buying a property outright just monthly costs of other things etc?

I live in a tent in Spain so can't tell you. Better off joining the local Facebook groups and asking there get more replies and can work out an average

hi i have lived in spain for 19 years look at your suma and depending wether you go for the 90 days or full residencia if you go for the 90 days you will have property tax as well to pay in january also rubbish to lift and your monthly water bill and electric your electric is expensive in spain

if you go for full residencia in spain taxes are higher in spain than uk the amount of tax free money you are allowed is spain is around £8000 while in uk its 12500 the tax rate is also slighty more best deal is to go to spain for the 90 days come home 90 days then go back for further 90 days if you need more let me know and can chat on phone

Have owned property in El Cotillo, Fuerteventura for 10 years now. Your biggest expense is potential community fees which can go upto 100 Euros a month . I would advise that you either buy a free standing property, or an apartment in a very small block of, say 4. Then you're not paying for pool costs, large roofing repairs, shared area redecorating and garden maintenance costs.

Council tax equivalent is about 200Euros a year, water and electricity have quite high standing connection charges. If you say 100Euros for water and electricity a month, you won't be far wrong.

Beware of keeping property in UK if you decide on residency, the Spanish Tax authorities will want a percentage of the value paid per year.
