Have my eyes on Venus Star Resort & La Mirage, but prefer quality all Inclusive rather than offsite for eats etc in December, so Venus is the front runner!!
Any tips, hints, recommendations welcome. believe both are in close proximity to clubs, restaurants and beach, let me know if any pitfalls x |

Are Venus and/or la mirage all inclusive?
Have only stayed at la mirage once,few years back,and back then to my knowledge was self catering only.
Never stayed at Venus,but having spoken to others was led to believe it also was self catering
Perhaps someone could correct me if I'm wrong. |

Venus is not all inclusive.
There is a restaurant on site where you can have breakfast lunch and evening meals at an added cost over and above the self catering price of the bungalows. |

Both are self catering, LM has a snack bar, Venus had a proper restaurant (when it first opened).
Fully inclusive might be convenient but the food is usually rubbish.
Now always go self catering, or be very selective in PDI restaurants. |

La Mirage has a menu and does meals all day though it's not restaurant quality more like basic/light meals/fast food. Decent quality though. Drinks and meals go on your tab and you pay at the end of your stay.

If you are visiting La Mirage for the day (35 euros pre couple) you can also upgrade to a entry/meal pachakge or entry/meals and drinks package. |

We've been to two all inclusives where the food was very good, but they were very much on the pricy side (e.g. £750 per night...). I think you get what you pay for.
Restaurants in PDI are generally acceptable if you stick to the normal rule of "never go somewhere that advertises a full English breakfast", and there are some good ones recommend in the restaurants thread.
