Benidorm - el sofa - review

Not sure if it’s allowed - if not then apologies but thought it would be useful for others
We visited as a couple midweek - was there from 130-330 approx
Parking was a nightmare as in middle of city but driving around found space on street €1 for a few hours
Went as a couple and €12 to get in but that included a drink
Met by a Chinese lady - excellent engish who showed us around
They have a few rooms showing films, glory holes, a fuck wall that was interesting, a bondage section, dark rooms, massage room, bar area etc
It was clean
They have a WhatsApp group you can join to alert you of any couples who are there (the couples can ask not to be announced though)
There was another couple there and around 6 single blokes - although after we left we did get a WhatsApp that another couple had turned up plus a single lady …
The guys were not pushy and also didn’t follow us around everywhere which tends to happen in some places - everyone was really polite
Overall it was a nice few hours and recommended …. |

Hooray! I’m so fed up of being called English. I can forgive the Spanish who probably don’t know any better and can’t differentiate UK accents, but it’s so disappointing when a Brit (actually an English Brit, no other type) says to me “oh, you’re English.”
If you heard me speak, I’m so OBVIOUSLY not English. I’ve got nothing against the English but I’m not one of them. Not English now, won’t be anytime soon.

I was in El Sofa on Tuesday and the receptionist mentioned two couples had been in the previous day. Obviously he was talking about you guys.

To help any others coming across this thread.....
Info on the web can be confusing. El Sofa has a new web site, but Google is not kind to it for searches.
Search results return lots of old stuff relating to a former Benidorm club/ cinema with that name on a different location.
The new location is two streets from Old Town hotel Colon behind el Gusto restaurant Poniente beach To further confuse things, The Swing is only the name used by _he swingers club that runs in el sofa two nights per week! Signage is el Sofa Cine only.
The venue is friendly, very clean, & newly furnished with comfy sofa seating in the varied cinema rooms. The cinema is open most afternoons with gay and straight films on quality equipment, and relaxation lounge/ bar areas.
Should prove popular with inquisitive/ new or experienced holidaymakers, as pricing is very fair making it risk free to pop in for a look round! |

Yes. If you are into bi/gay guys then it can be quite good.
Doesn't attract many couples in the daytime though.
From next week I will be home alone in Spain for a couple of weeks, so will try to get up there for an afternoon. |

Yesterday (Saturday 22/10) at day time there were 3 couples and in total 45 people.
For this year that's a record. But pre-Covid that was a normal visitor number for September and October.
The Swingers night (also yesterday but at night of course) was uk too, 12 couples and 8 guys. |

I went there in the we daytime and it was just guys. A lot of the porn showing was gay stuff so I’m sure T girls are more than welcome.

Hi to you both. I went fri and the place is great. Clean and friendly. Plenty of different zones from cinema to swing and harnesses. Sat night is the main swingers night but it’s open every day  |

Hi to you both. The venue is called _he swing on a sat night so open until 2am. It’s open every day 1-7pm as a cinema. They have a website and fab page if you need all details. It’s a really friendly place |

El Sofa is a sex cinema/club in Benidorm old town. Open 7 days a weeks from 1pm to 7.30 pm.
In the daytime it is mostly single Bi guys but it does also get some couples and an occasional single woman.
In the evening it opens as "The Swing" swinger club and attracts more couples.
At the moment The Swing is only open on Saturday evenings but that will be extended to other nights as Benidorm gets busier.

Yesterday was the best day at 'El Sofa' since our re-opening last year. Not number wise (32 visitors) but the atmosphere was absolutely great!
Some very pleasant couples and old fashioned style British humour.

Had a good night on Saturday, not the busiest we've seen it but some nice people and we had some fun.
The only disappointment were the "other" people. The ones who didn't come into the club.
During the evening at least 4 couples came to the door asking how busy it was before they would come in.
The owner, being a very honest chap, told them that it wasn't very busy but there were a few people in the club. None of them came in and 3 of the 4 spoke English so they were possibly Fabbers. Add to that the 3 single guys who were turned away because of the singles/couples ratio that the club likes to maintain.
I'm well aware that in this world of instant gratification many people want it to be busy before they set foot in a club. But it doesn't work that way.
Someone has to be the first and the second and so on. If not then every club would be empty all night.
So folks if you go to "The Swing" or any other club, don't ask the question, just go in. We did and had a good night.
As I said a few years ago before the other club closed down.

If not we will get back to countless threads on here asking why are there no clubs in Benidorm.

El Sofa doesn't have a "best night" it's only open in the afternoons.
In its other guise "The Swing" it is only open Saturday nights at the moment so by default it is the best.
Once the season gets going it will be open on other nights but this is Benidorm. You can never say best or worst night.
It depends on who is in the resort on any given day.
Say a Wednesday one week could be packed and the Saturday could be quiet. The next week it could be the other way around. Or both nights packed or both nights quiet, or anywhere in between.
Far too many people try to hedge their bets and want to only go when it's busy. If everyone thought like that then it would never get busy.
Just go for it, walk through the door.
It wasn't very busy last Saturday but as one guy in there told us. He would sooner be in the club with a few like minded people than in some of the other late night bars surrounded by pissed up stag nights.
BTW. He had a good night as well. |

I would just add to the above.
Albeit in a different club one of our best ever club nights was quite a few years ago.
The weather was terrible and we didn't expect it to be busy, but we'd said we were going so we did.
There was one couple (us) and 3 single guys, that was it, no-one else had ventured out. But they were nice fun guys who were a pleasure to be around.
We had some nice chat and banter at the bar then you can imagine the rest.
For a good night you don't need lots of people (although the club owner may disagree) you just need the right ones. |
