Lots to choose from but depends what you want. If you stay in PDI, it'll be near the Cita and Nilo centres which is where a lot of the fun is BUT it may well not be quiet at night, and if you're a light sleeper might be an issue.
We stayed in Maspalomas, at the Canary Garden Club, almost next door to the Maspalomas Suites. It was a really lovely place to stay, beautiful pool area and amazing staff. But it was a 4-5 Euro taxi in to PDI. Although they did provide a free bus every hour to the beach and back, then its a short walk to Kiosk 4.
It did have the advantage of being only a 10 min walk from Venus Star Resort, so we spent an afternoon or two there. Not sure I'd want to stay at Venus Star though as the pool area felt very cramped and was very noisy, loud music etc. Venus Star goes dead in the evening as everyone goes into PDI
All depends what you're after.
