Morning all, Mrs was wondering if topless only is allowed on PDI nudist beaches I.e. No top but wearing bottoms?

If allowed would I (Mr) have to be fully nude or could I keep shorts on?

Thanks

You can stay fully clothed on the nudist beach if you like

All the sections of the beach at PDI are walked through by nudists and non nudists alike. There's no enforcement on how nude you need to be. You may be asked to cover up if you take a naked walk outside of the nudist area though.

Ahh that's great, thank you very much!

It's not France, you know! Wear what you're comfortable with. And remove it as you get more comfortable...

Is the nudist part around Kiosk 4 best accessed walking west from the Riu Palace end or by walking east from the Faro?

I think it's marginally closer to the Faro, and of course you have all the shops and bars before you even get to the Faro. But then the walk from the Riu Palace is nicer.

We mostly walked from the Riu, mainly for the exercise to help work off the "All Inclusive", its quite a walk, on an odd occasion we got a bus from PDI to maspalomas and walked from the Lighthouse which is a lot easier on the legs, and you can grab a couple of nice cold tins from the beach hut bars as you enter the beach for a euro each, the beach sellers ask 3 euros. I would recommend trying both walks for a change of scenery

This always perplexes us… it’s a ‘nudest’ beach so if you want to keep your clothes on there are 80% more of them here so go there. We as nudest are not allow go go bare on those !!!

I absolutely agree - nudist beaches are aimed at nudists! However, people looking to dip there toes into the nudist scene almost always arrive with clothes on and gradually shed them as they realise being nude in front of complete strangers isn’t as bad as they think!

Our first time - we just sat at the back of the beach face down for an hour then just turned over!

Being nude and having random conversations with complete strangers is quite a liberating experience- once you’ve tried it- there’s no going back!

This is spot on , my first time at kiosk 6 I sat at bar for 30 min then realised I looked odd lol I lay on my towel for a hour nude, then wanted a dip that took a bit of effort then finally the bar now I wouldn't sunbathe anywhere else now other than a nude beach yes very Liberating

OP if you want to the best of both worlds then my suggestion would be to sunbathe between the clothed and nudist sections at first.

First time I went on a nudist beach many years ago, I felt very out of place being the only one wearing something. My husband has always been a nudist but I wasn’t and had a fear.

It wasn’t long in to the day until I was nude myself. It took balls but once I did it I loved it.

Now I’m the first to strip off. It’s so liberating and no one bats an eyelid. Unless they’re eyeing you up.

Very envious. We’ve only been back less than 3 weeks and dying to go back. Tempted to book flights and go next week but they’ve gone crazy!

Couldn't have put it better myself! Exactly what we find whether at a beach, resort or sun club. We love it.

Some very rude comments there especially as the "nude" beach is in the middle of the well worn path between playa del Ingles and maspalomas.

It's an area where you CAN be nude and it actually spans most of the seafront not just the area at kiosk 6 (4) and nudity is by no means mandatory nor should it be on a family beach.

Nude if you want, topless or fully clothed if you prefer there's NO rules

Technically in Spain you're allowed to go nude on any beach. Personally I prefer the more relaxed attitude in Spain (wear whatever you're comfortable with) rather than the more regimented French approach.

Actually the Spanish have changed their policy regarding allowing nudity on any beach as part of a new set of rules just released. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/whats-on/travel-tourism/new-beach-rules-spain-could-23697211.

Not sure how hard they will actually enforce the rule change, would probably depend on whether the person uses common sense and doesn't go nude on a mainly family beach.
