What does everyone think about all the new Spanish beach rules and regulations that have been in all the papers last week, the one that grabs our attention is the one regarding large fines for being nude on beaches unless they are designated naturist beaches. I always thought Spain was quite liberal and nudity was allowed on all the beaches.

I'm not so sure these kind of public order rules will be complied with by Spanish and tourists so I think best to keep calm and carry on.

There will have been worst rules such as mask wearing on beaches in the height of Summer that have thankfully and finally gone.

The need to wear a shirt in the street is stranger as that was how things were in Spain in the days of Franco. Seems very illiberal for a country that is (was?) now very liberal?
