I'm planning to go to Benidorm in May (for 2 weeks) with my female friend (non-swinger). So, I could go out to meet swingers and have some fun (nope, she won't come).
But the question, I would like to ask. How easy is to find a parking space in/around Benidorm. Would it be a hassle? Or is it okay? One of the hotels wants to charge 12 euro per night. I would prefer to park on the street, rather then pay this amount. Any suggestions? |

be very careful where ya park as cars will be towed and its a hassle to get cars back chech footpath for yellow stickers will be a good indication of legal and illegal parking a if ur not using your car much be cheaper and safer to take up the hotel parking |

It would depend on which bit of Benidorm you are planning to stay.
In the streets in and behind the old town it is very difficult (almost impossible) to find a space and the car parks are expensive.
As you go further into Levante most spaces are blue (pay) until you get a few streets back then you will see white ones (free)
The pay spaces are quite cheap (1€ for 2 hours last time we drove up) but a real pain in the arse if you leave the car all day.
You can only pay for 2 hours at a time, then there is a free spell in the afternoon (siesta time) then you have to pay again in the early evening. Timing is important. Overnight is free but make sure you get out early in the morning to get a ticket. Make sure you leave the ticket easily visible on the dashboard.
As said above, beware the residents bays (solid white) and if you overstay your ticket you will get fined or even towed.
The Grua's (tow trucks) are everywhere and every yellow or green sticker you see on the kerb is where someone has been towed. You will see plenty of them.
In some places the payment is suspended outside the main season, Calle Lepanto around the hotel Orange for example, but not sure if that will be the case in May. If the ticket machine has a metal cover on the screen then that area is free. If not then not. |
