Lateral flow 24hrs before arrival

Spain has now announced Brits must have a lateral flow test no more than 24 hrs before arriving in Spain.

You still have to option off doing a PCR test up to 72 hrs before.

There is also an expiry date for vaccinations, if your second dose was more than 270 days before arriving you will need to have taken the booster or the vaccination certificate will be invalid.

I don't think you can travel to Spain without being vaccinated, Jo...

I have just looked at the government website and if you are fully vaccinated you can enter Spain without any testing.

That's where I was looking, Sally..they are normally up to date.

Not true, spain are only accepting fully vaccinated bits.

No jabs, no entry. No option to do a test instead.

There is no testing now, vaccinated can travel freely. If not vaccinated, no entry

The OP is wrong, it's only if you're not fully vaccinated and come from another EU country, Brits must be double jabbed, no more than 270 days ago, or having had a booster if beyond that remit, else you're not going at all !!

Currently the UK is not on the list of countries Spain deems to be a risk to them. Just proof of being fully vaccinated and Spanish locator form required.

It's wise to keep your vaccination status certificate up to date. When we traveled a couple of weeks ago, they were not accepting vaccination certificates dated before 1 November 2021.

And just for clarity, is the NHS Covid Pass accepted or do we need to use a Spanish app like in France?

I would suggest keeping up to date. The Canarian Weekly has announced changes. https://www.facebook.com/111039622320427/posts/4798678120223197/

Can arrange weekly have updated, this only appears to those from EU countries who are unvaxxed. To travel from the UK, you still need to be vaccinated.

They have however just asked for restrictions to be lifted further.

NHS pass is accepted - they only last a month, so need to be kept up to date by re-downloading as they expire.

Apologies, this is if you are unvaccinated.

Don't think Evening Standard is correct about unvaccinated travellers. From UK, no vaccine means no entry to Spain - as also stated by other posters in the thread.

If you are unvaccinated and coming from the UK, you don't get into Spain. So the point about tests if unvaccinated is moot.

To enter Spain as from last Monday the 2nd dose of your vaccine had to be administered 270 days ago. If it was before then you need to have had your booster dose.

The only thing I can't find out about is the the time if you had one of the single dose vaccines.

I have just read that unvaccinated can travel to Spain with a test providing they can prove an essential reason to travel. This is from an 'edited' Standard post so will wait and see who else reports the same thing.

Not true, you cant go & get yourself a booster jab whenever you feel like it just because you had the original one more than 270 days ago ! If you've had a booster, that's it, you're fully vaccinated, if you haven't, then you ain't going if you had your SECOND jab more than 270 days ago !!

I quite agree, but they ignore the correct information anyway, which people have posted on here, so doubt it would make much difference !
