We’ve stayed at both, our preference would be Venus Star, but I’m sure others know the forum will be able to give their input. La Mirage had a big makeover a few years ago we’re going in a few weeks to see the improvements.

Sorry but I just have to ask what makes a hotel swingers friendly as opposed to any other hotel ... surely if you maintain an element of discretion they can all be friendly?

Then on the next level .... swingers hotels... is it compulsory lol?

Truly interested in the definitions.

Thanks

La Mirage & Venus Star are swingers complexes with individual bungalows, so not hotels as such. Not aware of “swingers hotels” ,, believe some have nude terraces etc, but they may not be adults only. Others may know.

Good questions.

Firstly, contrary to the belief of many on here, there are very few swinger hotels/resorts worldwide. You wouldn't need 3 hands to count the lot.

On GC there are two apartment/bungalow complexes that cater exclusively for the swinger market. The aforementioned La Mirage and Venus Star. We've only stayed at La Mirage (which we thoroughly enjoyed) so can't speak personally for Venus, but by most accounts they are similar.

Is it compulsory? No nothing is, like in any swinger club you can do as much or as little as you want. But don't be surprised if when lying around the pool the guy on the next sunbed is getting a blow job off his (or someone else's) Mrs.

There are indoor and outdoor open play areas/beds and the layout of the place pretty much makes every apartment/bungalow the guests own private play area. Both places are couples only.

The term "swinger friendly" is one that I have never really understood. The hotels in PDI are all vanilla and while blind eyes may be occasionally deployed none are overtly "swinger friendly". Many are used by swingers and some have naturist roof terraces but don't try the blow job by the pool routine. It could get you into a lot of trouble. Any swinger activity is behind closed doors.

Remember you are sharing the hotel with vanilla (and at certain times of the year family) guests.

We have stayed in both la mirage and in Venus. We enjoyed both very much but found venus star the better stay. Food, atmosphere, music was just better. You can play as much as you want or not play at all. Both have day passes and so if you stay in one then it's worth visiting the other, check their websites for any events that might be on (bbq, pool party, foam party etc etc).

We go to venus in 3 weeks times again

It seems the term “swinger friendly” has sparked some debate.

Perhaps “suited to swingers” might have been better ( adults only and regular hang outs is what we meant)

Thanks for joining to debate and we will certainly look out for the 2 mentioned

We have booked our flights for mid may do will start looking at hotels or apartments

Thanks for now

We tend to stay in vanilla hotels with naked roof terrace and option of playing in room behind closed doors then let our hair down fully in the evenings when out and about

All preference really

Playa del Ingles for a week

When you look at who is near on fab and there are a dozen peeps within a quarter of a mile and it transpires most of them are at your hotel pool, I would say that’s pretty swinger friendly.

Love trying to work out who is who. And love the catch ups on what we all got up to the previous night without a full on swinging vibe. Going to try La Mirage later this year but up to now Gold is our go to hotel

Pretty sure you'll be hooked on La Mirage after you try it out xx

Is it compulsory to be nude in Venus? Seen a few things online that say everyone has to be nude?

It is when you are down at the sunbeds and pool area. You can be covered up at your bungalow and the restaurant as well as when seated for the BBQ. All other times you will be challenged for being dressed.

This is a very good explanation of the Venus dress code. Everyone being nude in the pool area creates a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. But this doesn’t mean it is a sexual free for all. There will certainly be plenty of sex going on, but no one is obligated to do anything.

If Mrs wore bikini bottom is that ok? Doesn’t like the idea of having to be nude and not having the choice

Think a hotel with a nudist rooftop would be better for you. Then you can do as you please or stick to nudist beach. Then you have no issues.

Venus is pretty strict on it, as they should be considering type of resort it is.

If memory serves, i think ladies can wear bottoms if it is that time of the month but in general, it is a nudist/swingers resort

Great to see a "shout" for Gold ... we are booked in for March. I was looking for a hotel with a nude sun deck but this place looked so good we decided on it. Any tips or advice, how's the food?

TIA

Zurich. NOT London.

No. It's a naked resort, not clothing optional.
