We have a 10 day break booked from 4th Jan '22 but the more we look at covid numbers and listen to press, we're begining to think there will definitely be another lockdown just after Christmas which will scupper our holiday!
Question is do we bite the bullet and try and pick up a cheap deal in November, and then hope Jan cancelled and refunded, or wait it out and possibly not have any possibility of some sun until April time? |

It’s a hard call. We haven’t noticed any news back in the uk and purposely ignored it all to focus on our vacation.
If you have the means to get out in November, what I can say is to date, this is possibly our favourite year. The buzz out here is insane and loving the vibe of so many people from different countries coming out and celebrating our new found freedom.
It is crowded and yes there are risks of course but the fact there’s a huge number of locals vaccinated, coupled with many entering the country vaccinated and more knowledge available to help minimise risk in this tier 1 island, I would be tempted to say come out and ride this wave.
There is a fear of course that the rules laid out for international travel are here until the end of the year and I hope this continues at least until January where you will get your fix.
We feel your dilemma as we’d like to be out here in April but 2020 and 2021 were write offs for us, though November 20 & 21 have worked out well.
If you’re playing a call here now and hope it gets cancelled in January card, essentially it has to be one or the other, then I wouldn’t risk it as by the time any changes happen at the start of the year, you may just get over.
If you are able to get over November and January with no impact, financially, work related or otherwise then go for it. |

Thanks for some sensible advice. Yeah we probably could do both, apart from Nov being a particularly busy time for Pip, but with some organising she could staff up to cover her not being there. The biggest fear is not getting either!
Much more debate required in this household lol! Thank you all! xx |
