Brighton

I often see questions about Majorca Beaches so after coming here for 30 years here's 2 of my favourites with directions and info...

1. Es Trenc - miles of golden sand backed by dunes and pine forests. Located south of Palma between Ses Covetes and Colonia Sant Jordi. Best place to park is the Es Trenc car park @ 5 euro a day, takes cards. You used to be able to park for free on the road into Ses Covetes but they've removed this and the new car park is a real trek to the beach.

The main nudist area is in the middle of this huge beach. There are ww2 gun turrets on the beach and in between the middle 2 is the main couples area, someone once painted "zona couples fucking" on one of the turrets but this has long since been whitewashed out. Behind this area in the dunes the very occasional swinging action can happen but you will probably need to instigate it. If you want to have fun just wander back into the dunes and you will find lots of secluded areas.

For the bi's and gays the section towards Ses Covetes is basically gay land with a massive cruising area in teh dunes and forest.

Es Trenc is pretty much a safe beach for all and has life guards / bars and a first aid station. The water is crystal clear and the sand / slope into it is shallow. Its South facing so gets great sun all day but can be a little windy at times. There's very little hassle on this beach except the odd Spanish perv who thinks he's going to get lucky with a couple; they are fun to watch in their desperate pursuit but easy to get rid of if privacy is needed.

2. Caló d'en Monjo

This is a lovely rocky cove Southwest of Palma. Head to Cala Fornells, which is a hop on from Paguera. At Hotel Cala Fornells turn up the side track and park in the woods, for free. You can also get a bus to Paguera and its a good hours walk.

Once parked up you will see walking tracks through the pine trees and head down through the forest to this stunning beach. Its a small cove which is all rocks, no sand, but there are areas to lay towels and sunbathe by the old boathouse on the left.

This is a quiet secluded beach mostly for nudists. Some occasional action happens but nothing like it used to in the 90's! If you do want a secluded place to go then follow the path along the rocks to the left side of the beach and you will come to a secluded cave which looks out to sea. If its vacant then its a great place for fun!

This cove also offers some of the best snorkeling and is full of fish. You can swim naked here and boats are not allowed into the cove so the water is lovely and clear but wear water shoes as its very rocky. Quirky info - the ruins overlooking the beach were once a house and used as the set for the Agatha Cristie Film "Evil Under the Sun", now its a pile of bricks but worth checking out the movie too!

Hope that helps some fabbers, add yours below...
