You cannot walk into, onto or through the dunes. If you are caught in any way shape or form in/on the dunes you will be fined. A gent who came to our club a few weeks ago was cutting through the dunes back to his car and was stopped by the police and fined 200€. On the spot. They escorted him to the nearest cash point. There seem to be no signs up either so people are getting caught out. But if people want to risk it for a biscuit, so be it. |

There is a wooden walk way around the dunes which you can use but you cannot go through, into or over the dunes. |

Well speeding isn't allowed. There are fines and people still do it. It's up to the person. Someone asked what the dune situation was and I answered. What they do with that information is up to them. |

We asked a policeman and your allowed to walk across the dunes between playa del Ingles and a line from the Rui hotel to the sea.
Beyond that on the maspalomas side you can only walk in the marked paths |

Thanks for the info - I didn’t realise this new law was in place
So on windy days on the beach or at Hut 4 (which is also closed I understand?) people can’t even move to the first area of dunes to avoid the wind? |

We are looking around the 20th Nov for a week. Stayed at Venus star last time and loved it so may look there again. What’s the situation regards social distancing and mask wearing in the bars and clubs as this would put a real damper on our plans. Any info greatly appreciated x |

Let's put it this way everything here revolves around tourism. When the tourists weren't here the laws were strictly enforced to get the dunes back to being the natural beauty that they should be. Handing out fines at that stage did not damage tourism.
Now the tourists are back the hotels do not want to hear that their customers have been handed fines, so not only is the policing of the dunes more relaxed but many of the other laws have a blind eye turned (eg dancing etc).
However, we wouldn't want to inform people that the rules have been relaxed because if someone does get fined it's on us. |

just a Q does anybody ever use the German bar in the square, Blue Angel, its where the guys sell there gen Rolex watches he he, just wandered as im out there in nov, and that bar is always the first one i visit after a hard day on the beach mmmm, a cpl there to wash the sand down, then back to Tagoror app to scrub up for the eve time x |

-Masks on except eating and drinking in hospitality establishments
-Masks do not need to be worn outside, unless social distancing cannot be maintained
-Masks on in shops and supermarkets etc

Thank you for the information. Do you know how things are around hotels, we read on one the pool bar was closed which sounds a bit extreme given your outside, is this the case at hotels now? We haven’t been abroad since January 20 not even to our own place in Spain as not felt the need to go if it’s not going to be an enjoyable holiday experience. Understand about masks being required but don’t want to feel like it’s overly restrictive. |
