Taurito - Gran Canaria

Hi, we’re off to Taurito in Gran Canaria in a few weeks time, however looking at the forum it appears that we may be on the wrong side of the island to meet any couples. Has anyone stayed in this area and can tell us what it’s like?

Hi!

Very good weather (hot), but not many options if you want to keep busy. You will have to go to puerto mogan or puerto Rico. If you fancy going to swinger bars and clubs you will have to go to playa del inglés. I dont think there is not any close option near taurito.

Thanks, yes that’s what we thought from what we’ve read. Seems like a half hour bus journey to anywhere a bit more lively

Quite agree with this. Mogan five mins drive away, very picturesque, lots of restaurants. Puerto Rico, five mins drive opposite direction, is bit larger with small sandy beach area and also harbour. Taurito will be fine for relaxing but is a twenty/thirty minute drive to PDI for swingers clubs and bars.

Buses & taxis are cheap, so bus there & taxi home.

Have you considered car hire ? Loads of car rental at Las Palmas airport and some scenic drives in land.
