VIP bunnies club with an ATM outside. They have a massive limo parked up and photos on the wall of the club showing large jacuzzi with scantily clad young, drop dead gorgeous ladies cavorting in the water. The reality was 2, not young, not gorgeous, Spanish grannies in tight fitting black plastic mini skirts, squeaking away as they attempted to walk around. Some bloke with them trying to persuade passing single guys as to the pleasures that lay within, after they had been to the aforementioned ATM of course. Always mug punters around. | |||

The place seemed very kicking with a younger and louder crowd and very smoky due to its confined location on a back corridor so perhaps not for the maturer crowd!. | |||

"The place is usually so busy it’s impossible to get into. You have to be early and then be prepared to squeeze in like sardines. It’s a beautiful and well presented but small bar. The staff are lovely and drinks are great (the music can be a hit or a miss for us). They’ve created an atmosphere or something that folk seem to love. If only there were more bars like that. I miss Imagine in Cita! "I love sweet moments in the Sandia centre ...run by a German couple great vibe on a busy night kind of a mix of comeback and bulldog... | |||

"Fair comments about BB. Very much if your name’s not down, you’re not getting in. Joking aside. It can be a nightmare to get in and if they haven’t got room for you, it’s a blatant no. Sometimes it may come across rude, but maybe it’s a culture thing. However, once you’re in, it is a great place. Staff are super friendly and do go out their way to ensure you’re happy. The one night we didn’t get in, there were three reserved tables, and they turned down 8 of us. We learnt that those tables remained empty. I did chat with them and explained that turning down 8 drinkers isn’t the greatest business model when there are empty tables. They did say the night before ask to reserve a table, especially with bigger numbers. So people may want to take this into account if they want to attend this delightful little bar. However, the way I see it is I’m on holibobs, I’m not reserving a place for just a drink (restaurant maybe but not for a bar). If I don’t get in because it’s too busy, then there’s plenty of other places in close proximity in the Cita that will not turn down my custom, namely Comeback and Before. I’ll just go another night. But if I did feel to the point they were just blatant rude, then I certainly wouldn’t attend. And if it happened frequently, I’m sure word would get around and reputation compromised." We visited on a couple of Nights in April and had great craic....to be honest, I don't think Fabsters make up that much of their clientele(probably more Joyclub), so doubt a bit of bad press on Fab would bother them too much. It has one of, if not he best vibes of the Cita Bars and people will go regardless...it also has the cheapest drinks too. Oh and different 'bouncers' on the nights we went and both were dead on. Just an account of our experiences of course | |||

"To be honest I'm not that bothered its a free market they have the right to refuse and I have the right to not go back. It would a bad state of affairs if not getting into any venue ruined your hoilday I don't go to Secerts for the same reason Its just the first time iv seen it in a meet bar and yes the dynamics in the swing scene do change when your a couple or single girl. Men are always at the bottom of the pile but if you don't like the rules don't play the game " Exactly and things have changed a lot since I was a single guy...back then I remember having to get to 2x2 for it opening at 10pm, to stand a chance of getting in and Chris(the then owner) coming out and chatting with the gathered guys, before choosing the lucky few to get in(apart from Greedy Girls night). Fun4all were the most fussy back then and only ever let 1 or 2 guys in, Secret were and still do rip single guys a new one when it comes to admission charges and it never ceases to amaze me why guys go there. The big difference nowdays, is that you have the welcome addition of Eden and their twice weekly Gentlemens nights, which for €10 are a no brainer for single guys, I only wish it had been around in my day. | |||

"I was in in October when cita was really busy and there was no problem yes there was a few couples whom I knew but they came in later im going to try Moments tonight then head up to Eden " We liked Sweet Moments. We were only there 5 minutes, a couple of sips later and some hot German ladies had their tops down and then Lizzie’s. Really friendly, only downside for us was we are non-smokers and it got a bit smoky at the bar, but we’d definitely go again.
And as you probably know, Eden do give some options to single males, so you should have a good craic tonight.

"So, I popped into BB last night. The doorman instantly told me it was couples only as they have been getting too many single guys turning up. He was pretty abrupt to start with but fortunately Miranda was working and vouched for me and he was a lot friendlier thereafter. It was very busy with only a couple of tables free outside so I can see their point. " It also harks back to the "If a single guy can't take rejection, then Fab and Swinging in general, probably isn't for you". I first joined Fab as a single guy and it took me 6 months to get my first meet, so I know all about rejection and also remember well, turning up to the Clubs and Bars in PDI, wondering if I'd get in. A healthy attitude to rejection goes a long way towards success and survival in the Swing scene

Lady in a dress and heels gentleman did have shorts on Lyle and Scott and a Tommy H sweatshirt. People were dressed in similar attire. | |||

Just my own opinion of course"This is nonsense , rejection in the sense of not being desired by someone else is one thing , being rude to a potential customer, slightly aggressive etc as some people describe is just being bad at the job and anyone would have the right to feel aggreived. I can cope with rejection but I don't like unwarranted rudeness just because I'm a guy. I went there a couple of times , chatted to the owners , tried my bad German and had a great time , then one day I turned up and was told by the security guy I wasn't allowed in , I said could he ask the manager and I was waved in. | |||

"The Cita centre is scary looking, very dimly lit, it reminds you of a seedy precinct in some grim US city! " We were pretty shocked the first time we went there, but now we're beginning to think it's part of its charm. And it's a LOT safer than a precinct in a US city! | |||

"Most European countries don't have the same rules as us, smoking is the norm the world over, we hate it but just move on to the next bar or club, it's no big deal, Miranda is she the lovely lady,blonde with long curly locks, use to work in the sport's bar, top of steps heading to comeback??" Smoking is banned in indoor public spaces in Spain and is even banned in some public outdoor spaces including playgrounds and some beaches. | |||

I’ve heard so many bad reports about The place not making the English welcome " To be fair it's nothing to do with being English, they turn away lots of nationalities but it's mostly English who are on fab to complain, and the "bouncers" don't necessarily have a delicate command of the English language. We don't like it as it's too crowded, too noisy and too smokey but lots of people do and it's nearly always rammed. There's plenty of other options and more close by very soon ...... | |||

We did go to BlackBulldog Bar a few times last October with friends, we had no issue the few time we went there and we enjoyed the evening. But, we’re interested in visiting The Before Bar on our next visit to PDI. Just need to find it in Cita xx | |||

But, we’re interested in visiting The Before Bar on our next visit to PDI. Just need to find it in Cita xx" BeforeBar is in the old Imagine locale in the Cita. If you leave ComeBack Bar keeping the XL bit of it to your left and go past the German bar on the other side is BeforeBar. There is a sign and a mannequin outside | |||

I’ve heard so many bad reports about The place not making the English welcome " We've been a few times and always found it to be a welcoming place and the staff very friendly. Did get asked once if we could move from a table later on that evening as it had been pre booked, not an issue and the staff helpful. Didn't stay in the place all night as like to have a wander about. We have walked past on a few nights and it was rammed so just said hello to the doorman and walked on by. Its always nice to see a bar or indeed any business doing so well, hope they all prosper. | |||

"Thread rejuvenated. Walked past the Black Bulldog towards the end of the night and got pulled into the place for a drink. Of course M has gone, but the new guys (I say new but they’ve been there for months! But regulars will know them from Secret over the years) have changed the vibe of the place. We enjoyed our moment there and very sure there’ll be more over the coming weeks." Oh so Black Bulldog is under new management now? More welcoming? | |||

They look like they’re trying their utmost to keep a walkway between the main area and smoke area so people can pass through. Granted they’re never going to have the full aisle, but at least a walkway for people to pass.
There was a large Italian contingent when we were there looking pretty hot. And a mix of British, Irish and Dutch, along with a few Germans. It definitely looked over capacity, but the place was buzzing thanks to the likes of Arron and Karen bringing their Cuban touch to the BB. Whether this has changed the clientele, I don’t know but anyone visiting, expect a loud bar with a party vibe going on. | |||

"A second visit to the Bulldog and the place was heaving. We went the night before to watch Anette on the pole, but it was that rammed I didn’t think she had a cat in hell’s chance of getting on the pole. So skipped it. From our perspective, we’ve not been turned down from the BB and it does look like they are splitting at the seams with people attending the bar. As such, maybe it’s now easier to get in and not be turned away, than others reported over the last couple of years. Security is still there and from Lizzie’s view, moody as always. I think she got him told off.

Sounds like you had a great night. We find the British more bonkers.
We went for a few weeks and the last week we were there, there was a British Invasion and everywhere turned absolutely crazy. Maybe we had just chilled in to our holiday… haha!
"Went few days ago, I’d say late ish about 0030hrs. Very busy, staff were pleasant and we got served no issues. Party atmosphere with a mix of nationalities but mostly bonkers Germans.
