slightly off topic but relevant I hope. we're getting there in early October but trying to get our heads around the covid test requirements pre return. is it correct that we have to book an appointment at a local test centre to get the covid PCR test for permission to fly back? is it only the one at the airport or any others? any guidance would really be appreciated. thanks |

You need to book it before you fly out and you need to book your day2 on return or you won't get on the plane |

If you are both vaccinated the rules for an Amber country (to return to the UK)are You need a LF test in resort 72 hrs before you fly then a PCR test back home on day 2. If you aren’t vaccinated you have to PCR test day 8 as well.
The PCR tests need to be pre booked as the details need to be on your passenger locate form.
Irrespective of who you are going with if you look on the TUI website they have a really clear and simple guide. |

Currently in Corralejo enjoying the sun.
You can buy a LFT and take with you from company called Excalibur Health and also pre book day 2 PCR for return home at same time.

Yes, we have been in Corralejo many times over the Christmas period and have stayed 3 to 6 months. Weather overall is nice during the day, but as soon as the. sun goes down you need a coat to stay warm. |

Maybe it's warmer in El Cotillo than Corralejo? Been in Cotillo for 6 months every winter for years and never needed a coat in the evening. Occasionally a pullover and never any heating in the house required. |

"Anyone done Christmas over there? Thinking is winter sun and fun"
I've done Christmas in Caleta and it's great. Nothing better than Skyping family from a bar in your shorts while it's pissing down back in Manchester.
I might be tempted this year although I really could do with a travel buddy! |

Think it's a personal thing tbh. I've never worn a coat of any sort in Fuerte but then again at home I probably wear shorts from March onwards so I obviously don't feel the cold! Remember 5/6 years back being told daytime temps dropped to very low teens in Caleta but that's very rare AFAIK. |

Corralejo 13th November for 11 nights on my own if anyone’s there and fancies a few drinks, gets lonely going out every night on your own haha.
Also got a car for 11 nights so if someone is elsewhere on the island and fancies a social I can drive |

"10days at oliva beach from 10nov. Never been to this hotel before"
It's a fair old trek from the Olivia Beach down into Corralejo (probably 40-45 mins along the beach) but it seems a pretty popular hotel from the times I've been up to that part of the beach sunbathing. The bus stops right outside the complex though and it's a reliable service to both Corralejo and Rosario.
I always hire an apartment via Air BnB/Booking.com when going to Fuerte.... just prefer the flexibility of eating out at various places or having breakfast in my apartment after a particularly late and heavy night out! |

It's a trek! Yeah the walk is 40-45 mins down the beach. And the main part of Corralejo with bars and shops is towards the far end as it's more residential towards where you are.
I met someone who was staying at that hotel a few years back and she barely left the place in the 10 days she was there. I almost died when she told me what she'd paid for her holiday as well as it seemed bloody expensive! |
