Am I right in thinking you do not require a pre flight covid test if your double jabbed ? And can prove it on the NHS app. But you do require one prior to returning to the UK ?

You can either:

- be double jabbed and prove it

- have a negative test 48 hrs before you fly out here

- you will need a negative test 2 days BEFORE you fly back to the UK and alot of the clinics here are walk-in and you get the results in 20 or so minutes

You must fill in a Spanish locator form 48 hours before you arrive too.

There are a few bars and clubs in the Cita. Lol.

There is Before Bar, a meet up point on the top floor.

Also ComeBack Bar is round the corner from Before Bar. There is Secrets and Fun4All in the basement which are clubs. These are the usual haunts in Cita.

In the Yumbo is Studio69, a bar/meet up point as well.

We are in CC Nilo in San Fernando across the bridge from Maclennans Sports and Cocktail bar. It isn't a swinger bar but swinger friendly. The owners are on here too lots and lots of options.

Proof of vaccines.

Spth (Spanish passenger locator form)

Test to return to UK (antigen is enough as it stands, someone will correct me if that changed)

Proof of pcr booked for day 2 when back in U.K.

To get out of England.

U.K passenger locator form (within 48 hours of arrival) online prior to returning and Proof of negative antigen/pcr as applicable

You don't need a negative test to fly out here. You need EITHER a vaccine certificate (both jabs) OR a negative test 48 hours before you fly here. You need to fill in a passenger locator form as well.

Going back to the UK you MUST have a negative test result 48 hours BEFORE you fly home. Then when you are home in the UK I believe you need another test on the 2nd day you are there.

Can anyone else agree or not?

Yes, that's correct, except the test you take on your return can be between day 0 and day 2. (I've just got back from PDI yesterday)

That's because the Balearics at that point were on the green list. The Canaries, Balearics and Spain are now Amber, which means you need to test. Best to keep up with current regulations.

** flying from the UK to Spain (to include the canaries) if you are not double vaccinated + 14 days or under 12 years is a pcr within 72 hours of arrival in Spain.

Brits were previously allowed into Spain with antigen test results, however, it's now a pcr or nhs vaccines proof.

You also need proof of pcr purchase for when you return to the UK to get out of England. Manchester Airport checked everything 10 days ago.

On arrival in the Spanish airport they were scanning qr codes from spth and asking to see radar covid app installed on your device. (That may differ by destination in spain)

You also need to get an antigen test (with a company approved by the UK government) prior to being able to check in for the flight to the UK. Annoyingly some gov.uk pages say 72 hours prior and others say antigen is max 48 hours prior.

Just arrived back in the Canaries (both double jabbed). No documentation was checked by the airline on the way out, and only the Spanish locator form checked on arrival - no one asked for proof of double vaccine (in our case one in the Canaries and one on the UK so no EU covid pass). I think they assume that nobody is stupid enough to travel without full vaccination.

** oooh 2 adults travelling together?

It did look like families were being asked for every document, which makes sense as teens are not vaccinated and have to pcr test.

Also my spth asked for my vaccine deets and my daughters test results so they knew ahead of time we were okay to travel

We'd printed our boarding passes but they were ripped up & new ones issued at check in (we also checked in online for all the good it did...) we were told its so staff know we've had all our documents checked and don't check them all again at the gate. That might just be a tui policy though.

I'm glad we didn't only have a few days booked. It wouldn't be worth it for a few days. I'm also glad I've nothing else booked until Christmas. By Christmas my teenager will have had both doses and my son still young enough not to need tests. Things may be more streamlined/cohesive by then (fingers, toes, legs crossed)

Ryanair at Stansted and Las Palmas were checking all documents and refusing travel to people without the correct paperwork when we flew in July.

To travel to Spain you need a location form. Have since the travelling opened up again.

PDI 12-26th Nov 24

It's VEEY simple

Go to the Jet2 (or any any other holiday company)

Click on tbe country you want to visit

Read the requirements for entry to that country

Read the requirements for re-entry to the UK

Get your vaccine passport before you book flights then just do it it's simple

You'll also get all the information on the UK government web site

Just to make it clear, you need to book your return 2nd day test before you fly back to the UK because you have to put booking info on your return locator form.

Hope the forum can help with our question.

I/we are double vaccinated, and only just recovered from contracting covid . I'm told I should NOT use PCR tests as they could show a false positive upto 90 days . We fly home within this time. So, I thought not an issue, I can do LFT like I can for pre departure back to the UK. But I cant seem to find anywhere that sells Day 2 LFT. I've asked a supplier 'Breathe' and they just sent me to the .Gov site which doesn't have the answer either.anyone able to help?

I'm not sure if an antigen test will suffice? It will show that you have had COVID-19 and recovered, but I'm not sure if it's acceptable.

Fylde Coast.

You can do an antigen test in the resort before you fly home but as it stands at the moment the day 2 test (after you return home) has to be a PCR test.

Woooah steady on…you can’t advise grown adults to read easily accessible, clear and simple rules in relation to travel requirements. This is Fab forums… there’s no place for telling people to do the very simple thing the rest of us can do.

So, according to test and trace, there is no alterative to a day 2 PCR and if it returns a false positive due previous infection, they will decide based on your covid record of previous infection as to whether or not you would need to isolate.

I understood the process, I just wasn't sure where you stood having recovered from covid so soon and then providing a positive PCR if that meant your fucked back into isolation even when the likelihood was it was a flase positive or if common sense would have prevailed
