They need to get they're cases down and the vaccines up!!!

The cases will keep going up for an other week. Still under 70 per 100,000. but I do see it topping out the end of this coming week then hopefully the vaccines kick in.

Vaccination:

Total administered: 384,500

Two doses: 116,025

Administered yesterday: 16,054

Target: 1,348,856 people.

So with these numbers, what is the magic date we are looking towards to enable the population

getting vaccinated upto 70% and GC getting herd immunity?!

All in truth I don’t see the Islands going green till August/September.

Hopefully I’m wrong. I think they will be classed as amber till then

We need to hope that the UK government don’t just classify countries as red amber or green and do it by regions, the Balearics and Canaries will have a better chance then. I think you are probably right though I think it will be September at best. I think the government here are trying to avoid mass tourism in the school holidays as non of the kids will be vaccinated.

Same here for Tenerife, the way vaccinations go no, they say that 60/70% of population will be vaccinated in July/August and we can slowly recuperate from this

Agreed. Think we will see some kind of slow tourism June & July. I know the bookings from 1st of August jet2 bookings are very good! The vaccine rate is at last starting to get better and better everyday. Definitely the last 7 days have seen a much much more positive outlook.

The only downside just is now is the aftermath of Easter. But we all knew it would happen
